ABOUT US STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments. We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems—not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe—today. YOUR MISSION Enable fast, structured execution of complex engineering programs. As a Junior Project Manager at STARK, you act as the organizational backbone of one of the company’s most strategic programs, ensuring smooth collaboration between engineering, production, and operations teams. You support program leadership by bringing structure, tracking progress, and keeping teams aligned so critical work moves forward efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinate key workstreams across engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure projects progress according to plan. * Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure the right priorities are addressed at the right time. * Maintain clear communication between teams and ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and responsibilities. * Develop practical reporting, dashboards, and documentation to increase project transparency and execution speed. * Identify risks and blockers early, escalate where needed, and drive resolution to keep programs on track. * Prepare concise updates and reports for program leads and executives to support informed decision-making. * Continuously improve project workflows by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement scalable processes as the organization grows. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Business Administration with technical affinity, or a comparable field; a combined technical and business background is preferred. * 2+ years of professional experience, including internships or early-career roles in project management, consulting, or engineering environments. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or fast-moving projects. * Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn quickly and take initiative in high-performance environments. * Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical teams and leadership stakeholders in English and German. * Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, and similar project management software. * High ownership mentality and motivation to take on increasing responsibility early in your career. If you´re intersted in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English. We´re looking forward to meeting you!
For over 20 years, Smartsheet has empowered teams to manage work seamlessly and scale solutions smarter. Now, in our most ambitious chapter yet, we are uniting human teams with AI agents. By orchestrating the work agents do best, automating manual tasks and uncovering insights at scale, we create the space for people to focus on what truly matters: judgment, creativity, and big thinking. That is magic at work, and it’s what we show up for every day. You independently lead the most complex AI deployments Smartsheet undertakes. You own the full engagement lifecycle from technical discovery through production deployment through solutions org handoff. You architect multi-agent solutions, design client-personalized MCP resource packs, and build the Deployment Kits that transform how 200+ solutions consultants and partners operate. You mentor junior FDEs, drive the intelligence loop, and present field findings at weekly Applied AI strategy sessions. You are building a function, not filling a role. You will work remotely from Germany and will be reporting to Sr. Director, Engineering You Will: * Lead complex, multi-system AI deployments end-to-end scope, architect, build, validate, and manage the customer relationship throughout. * Own the AI workshop program for your pod, customize modules per customer, lead technical sessions, translate outputs into production requirements, evolve content from field learning. * Architect multi-agent solutions selecting the right coordination pattern for each customer's workflow characteristics and compliance requirements. * Design client-specific and industry-specific MCP resource packs that serve personalized intelligence from the server so every connected AI surface gets smarter for that customer automatically. * Own Deployment Kit quality for your pod. If a kit is not documented well enough for a solutions consultant with no engineering background to follow, it isn't done. * Lead Solutions Enablement Sprints: transfer AI deployment patterns to solutions consultants and partners with training materials and certification criteria. * Drive the intelligence loop: author strategic memos, present field findings weekly, contribute Agent Bricks and Skills, file RFCs for platform improvements. * Mentor junior FDEs on customer engagements, code reviews, and Deployment Kit quality. You Have: * 6–10+ years production software engineering, including 3+ years deploying AI/ML to production. Deep Python; strong TypeScript/JavaScript. * Proven track record leading complex enterprise technical engagements. You've managed customer relationships, navigated security reviews, and delivered production systems organisations depend on. * Deep production LLM experience: multi-agent orchestration, MCP/tool-use, RAG optimisation, evaluation frameworks, agent deployment at scale. * System architecture expertise spanning enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI services explainable to a CIO and a junior engineer. * Demonstrated ability to create reusable technical assets that others use in production. You think in platforms, not projects. * Strong written and verbal communication. Architecture documents, runbooks, strategic memos, training materials. Your Deployment Kits are your portfolio. * You leave teams better than you found them. You make sure the people you work with understand what was built, why it works, and how to own it without you. * Ability to travel. This role requires domestic and international travel approximately 25–50% of the time. * Eligible to work in Germany on an ongoing basis. * Fluency in English is required. * BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Nice to Have: * Experience founding or scaling an FDE/solutions engineering function. * Technical founder background. Databricks, AWS Bedrock, or Temporal experience. * Deep domain knowledge in healthcare, financial services, or government. Agent framework contributions (Strands SDK, LangChain, open-source MCP servers). * Proficiency in German/French language will be an added advantage. * Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, UK/EU AI Act). Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from.
