The Role: We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the bridge between F2's platform and the real-world complexity of our most important enterprise clients. You'll embed with strategic Private Credit customers, get deep on their data, workflows, and infrastructure, and build custom solutions that makes F2 indispensable to how they operate. This is a hands-on engineering role: you write production code, you ship it and you see your work create value in days, not quarters. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field with customers, then bring what you learn back to our core engineering and product teams to make the platform better for everyone. It's the ideal role for an engineer who wants to combine deep technical work with direct customer impact, and who's excited to learn a modern AI stack end-to-end. What you'll do: * Embed with strategic accounts. Sit with our top enterprise clients to deeply understand their domain, data sources, security requirements, and analyst workflows and then translate those into concrete technical solutions. * Build custom integrations and solutions. Write production code on top of F2's platform: connectors to customer data rooms and document management systems, ingestion pipelines, workflow automations, and domain-specific features tailored to each client's needs. * Own the technical relationship. Act as the trusted technical partner for the customer's team throughout the engagement; from initial deployment and configuration through production rollout and optimization. * Prototype, validate, ship. Move fast: build a prototype, put it in front of the customer, iterate on real feedback, and get it into production through our CI/CD pipelines while meeting our engineering standards. * Generalize back into the platform. Return from engagements and work with core engineering and product to turn one-off customer solutions into reusable abstractions and platform capabilities that scale across our entire customer base. * Be the voice of the customer. Bring hard-won field insights back to the roadmap, championing the features and integrations that solve real enterprise problems. * Work alongside core engineering. Participate in shared code review, architecture discussions, you're a full member of the engineering org, not a siloed services team. What you bring: * Hands-on full-stack or backend engineering. 3+ years shipping production software, ideally with Python and/or TypeScript. You're comfortable owning a feature end-to-end across an unfamiliar codebase. * Customer-facing instincts. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you enjoy being in the room with customers translating ambiguous requirements into working software. * Pragmatic and fast. You prototype, validate, and ship in days and weeks, not months. You'd rather get something real in front of a customer than perfect a diagram. * Comfort with cloud and infra fundamentals. Working familiarity with AWS, containers, CI/CD, and Postgres/SQL. Experience with Temporal, Redis, and LLM tooling is a strong plus. * Integration mindset. Experience building connectors, APIs, or ETL/data pipelines against messy real-world data sources and enterprise systems. * Security awareness. You understand why enterprise clients care about tenant isolation, least-privilege access, and data handling, and you build with those constraints in mind. * Builder's curiosity. You enjoy learning a new domain (private markets / finance) and a full AI application stack, and you thrive in a 0→1 environment where you own outcomes.
ABOUT US Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes. 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview. We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law. Joining Legora means three things. * We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions. * We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback. * We grow together: as a team and with our customers. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. THE ROLE As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Legora, you'll sit at the intersection of product engineering and customer success — embedded directly with our most complex enterprise clients to make our AI-native platform work seamlessly in their environments. You'll write real code, solve real integration challenges, and leave behind infrastructure that outlasts your visit. What you'll be doing * Embed with enterprise customers during and after deployment, writing production-grade code to bridge Legora's platform with their existing legal tech stack * Own the full technical scoping process: gather requirements, design integration architecture, and deliver working solutions end-to-end * Build and maintain reusable connectors, automation scripts, and tooling that accelerate future customer deployments * Debug and resolve complex production issues at the intersection of customer environments and Legora's platform — often under time pressure * Act as the technical voice of the customer internally — surface friction points, edge cases, and integration gaps directly to our product and engineering teams * Partner with Sales and Customer Success to scope new deals and expand existing accounts where technical complexity is a deciding factor * Work closely with Engineering and Product to deliver successful integrations and improve general product offering Who you are * A strong generalist engineer comfortable writing backend code and working across APIs, auth protocols, and data pipelines * Experienced in customer-facing technical roles — pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or embedded delivery — where you've had to own outcomes, not just hand off specs * Familiar with enterprise integration patterns: SSO (SAML, OIDC), REST and webhook-based APIs, and document management systems like iManage, SharePoint, or NetDocuments * Able to move fast without cutting corners — you know when to build something robust and when to ship something good enough to unblock a customer * A clear communicator who can hold a technical conversation with an IT administrator and a strategic one with a managing partner — sometimes in the same meeting * Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by early-stage problems that don't have a playbook yet * Global collaboration: Partner with teams and clients across Europe, APAC, and North America. * Competitive package: Comprehensive salary, benefits, and tools for success. * Meaningful work: Your efforts shape how thousands of lawyers use AI daily. * In-person environment: Union Square office designed for ambitious builders and company provided lunch daily. * Benefits & Perks: We invest in our people with a comprehensive, thoughtfully designed benefits package: Medical, Dental & Vision * Multiple medical plan options through Aetna and Kaiser Permanente * HSA or Healthcare FSA (based on plan selection) * Dental plans via MetLife * Vision plans via Vision Care Family Support * Generous parental leave * Free access to Maven Clinic * Dependent Care FSA * Free One Medical membership for employees and dependents Additional Perks * Pre-tax commuter benefits * Life Insurance + STD/LTD * 401(K) with generous company match * Unlimited PTO * Robust voluntary benefits, including identity protection (via Aura), legal coverage via MetLife, pet savings programs, and more Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive, high-performance culture where everyone can do their best work. We welcome people of all backgrounds and don’t discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
