THE ROLE The IT and AI Enablement function exists to make Legora itself run as well as the product we sell: secure, automated, and compounding over time. The Workplace Technology Lead owns everything technical a person touches when they walk into the office — onboarding, hardware, AV, cabling, and physical-security infrastructure — with Workplace Technology Staff supporting as the site scales, and works alongside the EAs, Workspace, Office Managers, and Brand/Events teams. One Lead per major site (Stockholm, London, New York, Sydney, Denver); they share playbooks and cover for one another. This role owns New York.   What You'll Be Doing * Own New York's workplace technology end to end — the day-to-day experience for staff and guests. Lead the Workplace Technology Staff where the site has them; do the work yourself and build the team where it doesn't. * Run the technology side of new-hire onboarding on the ground: devices staged, accounts and access provisioned, day-one setup, and the in-person welcome to Legora's tools — Workplace handles the desk and space. * Own the AV and conferencing estate — meeting rooms, all-hands, and event AV. * Inside Workplace’s office buildouts, program-manage the physical systems — cameras, badge / access-control, and structured cabling: oversee installers, hold vendors to Legora’s standards and acceptance tests, and make sure each is installed correctly, comes up on the network, and stays available. Workplace owns the buildout; you own that the tech works; Security owns access policy and monitoring. * Manage the local hardware lifecycle — provisioning, stock, repairs, returns — and be the site’s top escalation point above first-line support. * Resolve local requests through Legora’s shared service desk, working to common SLAs with automated routing. * Oversee the site’s technology spend — AV, hardware, and IT / AV vendors — forecasting with Finance and feeding the overall site budget that Workplace owns.   Who You Are * 6+ years across IT / workplace technology, AV, or facilities-adjacent technical operations, including running on-site buildouts end to end — you're comfortable owning a site. * Ready to incubate a site — happy to start as the sole technologist and build the team as the office grows. * A program manager at heart — you can scope a fit-out, keep installers, vendors, and timelines on track, and own a budget and forecast spend without drama. * Hands-on and present — this is a five-days-on-site role (you can't stage a new hire's desk or recover a dropped meeting room remotely), and you like being the person on the floor who makes the space work. * A calm partner and — where there’s a team — a steady manager who develops people; you're the point of contact when an event or VIP visit depends on the tech. * Standards-minded and ambitious — you want your site to set the bar the others copy, and you keep the next buildout cleaner than the last.   Nice To Have * AV and conferencing at scale — room design, signal flow, and acceptance testing (Neat, Zoom Rooms). * Technical program management of physical installs — structured / low-voltage cabling and commissioning of building systems. * Physical-security infrastructure — badge / access-control and camera / CCTV (e.g. Verkada): keeping it installed, networked, and available, and coordinating installers. * Office network fundamentals — Meraki and the local network spine, working with the IT Systems team. * Endpoint and onboarding logistics — macOS provisioning, Jamf / Apple Business Manager, and staging hardware for new hires. * Comfortable running support through an ITSM / service-desk platform and adopting AI-assisted, agentic automation — we run an AI-native ITSM (Serval), and exposure to tools like ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or Freshservice transfers well. * Experience with Neat, Zoom, Meraki, Verkada, Jamf, Apple Business Manager, and 1Password.   *Please note that due to summer holidays, our response times may be a little longer than usual. THE ROLE The IT and AI Enablement function exists to make Legora itself run as well as the product we sell: secure, automated, and compounding over time. The Workplace Network Engineer owns the network and connectivity estate across every Legora location — the Meraki and Tailscale footprint, from wired and wireless to WAN and the zero-trust mesh — accountable for keeping every site fast, secure, and connected. You set the network standards the whole company is built to, and the Workplace Technology Leads at each site are your hands for installs and upgrades. What You'll Be Doing * Own the reference design every site is rolled out from — LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN / SD-WAN, segmentation (VLANs), DNS / DHCP, and firewall policy — so each new office comes up the same proven way. * Run the Meraki Dashboard as the single source of truth — configuration templates, firmware lifecycle, licensing and inventory, alerting, and capacity planning across all sites. * Operate the Tailscale zero-trust mesh — ACLs, device posture, and access routing — alongside Information Security, who owns identity and the access policy itself. * Monitor connectivity proactively and own uptime: catch degradation before users feel it, drive incidents to resolution, run root-cause analysis, and keep mean-time-to-recover falling. * Plan and program-manage network installs and upgrades for new-site buildouts and refreshes — scope the design, order and stage hardware, and direct the on-site Workplace Technology Leads and cabling / ISP vendors who do the physical work, holding them to Legora’s acceptance tests. * Manage ISP, circuit, and connectivity-vendor relationships — procurement, contracts, SLAs, and escalations — and forecast network spend with Finance. * Partner with the IT Systems and Helpdesk teams on Tier-2 / Tier-3 network escalations, and document the estate so it stays legible to the rest of the function. Who You Are * 6+ years in network engineering or network-focused IT infrastructure, including owning a multi-site corporate network end to end as the final escalation point — with no senior network engineer above you to hand it to. For the Staff end of the band, ~10+ years and a track record of defining network architecture across a multi-site organization. * Deep Cisco Meraki experience at multi-site scale — and you understand what the Dashboard abstracts away. You can design and reason about the routing, segmentation, and RF beneath it, and keep the network running when the abstraction leaks. Fluency with the GUI is assumed, not the job. * Vendor-agnostic command of network fundamentals — you design from first principles, not from templates: L2 / L3 boundaries, IP addressing and subnetting (IPAM), routing including BGP with ISPs, dual-circuit / SD-WAN failover, VLAN segmentation, DNS / DHCP, QoS, and firewall policy — and you troubleshoot at the packet level (e.g. Wireshark) when the dashboard isn’t enough. * Able to walk us through a multi-site network you designed end to end — the trade-offs you made, a failure mode you engineered out, and a cutover or migration you ran without taking the business down. * A standards-setter — you’d rather define one blueprint every site copies than improvise each office, and you keep the next buildout cleaner than the last. * Automation-minded — you reach for the Meraki API, Pulumi or Terraform, and scripting to manage the network as code, rather than clicking through dashboards by hand. * A calm operator under pressure — when a site drops, you’re methodical, communicative, and relentless about root cause, not just the quick fix. * A program manager who delivers through others — comfortable owning timelines, vendors, and a budget, and getting work done through on-site teams you don’t directly manage. Nice To Have * Cisco depth at CCNP / CCIE level — certified or demonstrably equivalent. CCNA alone is below the bar for this role; Meraki CMNA / ECMS a plus. * Production experience operating Tailscale or comparable zero-trust network access (ZTNA), and certificate / mTLS fundamentals. * Office buildouts and structured / low-voltage cabling — commissioning networked building systems and coordinating installers. * Physical-security and AV networking — getting cameras / access-control (e.g. Verkada) and conferencing (Neat, Zoom) onto the network and keeping them available. * Comfortable running work through an ITSM / service-desk platform and adopting AI-assisted, agentic automation — we run an AI-native ITSM (Serval). * Connectivity and SaaS-reachability monitoring across sites — synthetic / path monitoring (e.g. ThousandEyes, Catchpoint), a multi-site NMS (e.g. Auvik, PRTG, or Datadog), and SNMP / syslog telemetry, on top of Meraki’s native alerting. * Wi-Fi design and validation tooling — RF surveys and heat-mapping (e.g. Ekahau or Hamina). * Experience with Meraki, Tailscale, Neat, Zoom, Verkada, Okta, and 1Password. *Please note that due to summer holidays, our response times may be a little longer than usual. The Director of Workplace Technology owns the on-site technology experience across every Legora office — the rooms that connect, the day-one onboarding that just works, the buildouts that come up clean — and leads the Workplace Technology Leads who own each major site (Stockholm, London, New York, Sydney, Denver). You set the standards the sites run on, own the function's budget and vendor framework, and are the technology counterpart to Workplace. This is a build-the-function role: the standards, the playbooks, and the team are yours to shape. What You'll Be Doing * Lead and grow the five Workplace Technology Leads — one per major site (Stockholm, London, New York, Sydney, Denver) — hiring, developing, and holding a consistent bar across all of them. * Set and own the global standards every site runs on — hardware, AV and conferencing, network, physical-security infrastructure, and the day-one onboarding bar — so a Legora office feels the same wherever it is. * Own the Workplace Technology budget and vendor framework globally: forecast with Finance, standardize vendors and contracts, and feed the site budgets that Workplace owns. * Partner with Workplace on every buildout and expansion — owning the technology scope (AV, network, and badge / camera / cabling commissioning) within their fit-outs, from requirements at kickoff to a clean first day of business. * Work with Information Security on access, network, and device controls, with IT Systems on the network spine and endpoint estate, and with People on onboarding. * Run the function on Legora's shared service desk and AI-native ITSM (Serval) — common SLAs, automated routing, and the agentic automation that lets small on-site teams punch above their weight — and decide when each site needs its own Lead, and when Leads need staff. Who You Are * 10+ years in IT / workplace technology, AV, or facilities-adjacent technical operations, including multi-site or global responsibility and managing managers or senior ICs. * A builder of functions — you've set standards, hired teams, and made distributed sites feel like one company. * Credible hands-on and with the business — you can debug a meeting room and hold a budget conversation with Finance in the same day. * A strong cross-functional partner across Workplace, Security, IT, People, and Finance — you land shared outcomes without turf wars. * Comfortable across time zones — you keep five sites from Sydney to Denver aligned, and build the async habits that make that work. * Standards-minded and pragmatic — you know when to enforce one global way and when to let a site adapt.
