As a software engineer on Secure Devices, you will work at the intersection of software development, security, and client platform
engineering. You will work with teams across Security, Infrastructure and Corporate Engineering to drive strategic projects to
better secure Stripe endpoints, build infrastructure for supporting new platforms, and operate services critical to securing over

About the role This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant on site at our client's office in Malmö. The assignment is full-time, starting on 2026-09-01, and runs initially until March 31, 2027, with excellent opportunities for extension. The role applies a flexible hybrid work model. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will enter a complex, distributed development environment where software is built both internally and by third-party suppliers. You will play a key role in ensuring software integrity, scalability, and security. Work tasks Building the Platform: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve a declarative GitOps-based delivery platform on Kubernetes using ArgoCD. Artifact & Supply Chain Governance: Manage and govern JFrog Artifactory, including configuring user permissions, network endpoints, and automated vulnerability scanning (Xray/Curation). Production Operations: Run, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (AKS) and handle deep container diagnostics in production environments. System Integration: Support the secure integration of external supplier and third-party software from a platform and configuration management perspective. Knowledge Transfer: Author SCM/DevOps documentation, establish best practices, and mentor internal development teams on branching and release strategies. Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines We are looking for We believe expertise can be gained from different sources and environments. Advanced practical knowledge of Kubernetes infrastructure (AKS/Azure or AWS) including Helm, Kustomize, and RBAC. Advanced practical knowledge of ArgoCD and declarative GitOps delivery workflows. Good practical knowledge of configuring and securing JFrog Artifactory (Xray experience is a plus). Advanced practical knowledge of Linux system operations, shell scripting, and container troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Eligibility for Swedish security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship). It is meritorious if you have Good practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Integration Engineer on the Professional Services team, you'll own the technical relationship with Stripe's most strategic users—from initial discovery through to live integration and ongoing optimisation. You'll bring together deep technical expertise and consultative skills to help enterprises design and implement complex integrations, resolve issues at pace, and continuously improve how they use Stripe's platform. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 4+ years of experience in a software engineering or integration engineering role * Ability to write and debug code in languages such as Go, Java, C/C++, or similar * Comfortable with code-level debugging (both Stripe and user code) and using code as a practical problem-solving tool * Strong generalist technical background, including proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms * Understanding of the payments domain and API security principles * Able to lead technical conversations and clearly explain how Stripe works from both a product feature and API architecture perspective * User-first mindset with the ability to map business requirements to reliable technical solutions * Confident engaging with users and leading strategic technical discussions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, technical consulting, or implementation engineering * Experience mentoring engineers or guiding technical teams through complex implementations * Demonstrated ability to apply structured methodologies to ensure consistency and repeatability across engagements * Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to document complex integration guidance and processes * Track record of navigating and resolving ambiguous, open-ended technical problems both independently and collaboratively
