STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB is located in Norrkoping, Sweden and has ST as a majority owner since February 2019. Previously named Norstel AB, the company is ST’s competence center in silicon carbide material technology. The company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linkoping University, and since 2006 in a dedicated production facility in Norrkoping. We focus on the development and pilot production of silicon carbide (SiC) wafers for ST’s automotive market. We operate a 2000 m2 production area with a facility and equipment running 24 x 7.
Hands-on repair and preventive maintenance on process equipment and facility.
Answers to alarms/breakdowns and supports the manufacturing line with diagnostics and repair.
Responsible not just for identifying the issue, but for diagnosing its cause, developing a solution, and implementing that solution, sometimes within an extremely short timeframe.
Plan, preforms, document in the system and close work orders in the maintenance system.
Support maintenance and facility with documentation and projects. Introduction and responsibility for new tools like FMEA for equipment and facility systems.
EHS - Completion and follow-up of audit actions.
CAD support
Work closely with the process team in order to continuously improve the performance and availability of the production line.
Proposes and takes in charge specific improvement projects. Work together with process team in common projects.
This will be an Onsite role based out of ST's Office.
Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
The candidate should have a valid driver’s license.
Background or know-how in automation, electrical, mechanics or facility.
CAD
Good ability to prioritize, work independent.
Good communicator, creating relationships and co-operation.
Strong commitment, persistent, driven and curious
Organizational ability to structure and document the daily work.
Be able to prioritize the most important tasks but not allow smaller or seemingly “lesser” issues to fall by the wayside. A keen eye is required to identify small issues within a much larger whole
Previous work with water and ventilation is meritorious.

Tillsammans med den lokala underhållsavdelningen skapar du första underhållsplanen, granskar och upprättar reservdelsstrukturer samt säkerställer systematisk och planerad överlämning av ny produktionsutrustning till den lokala produktions- och underhållsorganisationen. Vem är du Vi söker dig med högskole- eller civilingenjörsutbildning inom maskinteknik, el- och automation eller underhållsteknik, eller likvärdig utbildning. Tidigare erfarenhet som produktionstekniker eller underhållsingenjör är meriterande. Vi ser gärna att du har erfarenhet av bearbetningsmaskiner såsom svarvar, fräsar och slipmaskiner, och ha flerårig erfarenhet inom detta område. Vi värdesätter också om du har kunskap om ritningsläsning, pneumatik, hydraulik och mekanik. Förmågan att arbeta självständigt och i team är också viktig. Du har en mycket god allmän kunskap i Microsoft Office 365 och behärskar svenska och engelska i både tal och skrift. About the role As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all site infrastructure across our Larkhall logistics facility. This includes refrigerated warehousing, yard assets, and office facilities. You’ll deliver both planned maintenance and rapid response repairs, helping to protect operational continuity. You will be responsible for: * Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across refrigeration systems, MHE, lighting, and building infrastructure * Diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly to minimise operational disruption * Supporting refrigeration systems and coordinating with external refrigeration contractors * Maintaining dock levellers, roller doors, bay equipment, and safety systems * Overseeing yard and trailer park infrastructure including lighting, barriers, and hard standing areas * Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (LOLER, PUWER, F Gas, H&S) and maintaining accurate records * Driving continuous improvement, managing spare parts, and working closely with operations to prioritise maintenance About you You’ll be a time served engineer or hold an equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, or multi‑skilled engineering. You’ll have strong fault-finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in facilities or industrial environments. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and chilled environments would be advantageous.
