The Machine Design, installations & Investments (DII/PPD) team plays a key role in developing and strengthening our global manufacturing capabilities. We work across sites to drive industrial investments, machine design, and process development, ensuring that our operations remain competitive, efficient, and sustainable.
By leading cross-functional projects, we turn ideas into real industrial solutions – from concept to fully implemented production systems.
As an R&D Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and delivering projects within machine design, investments, installations, and process development.
You will own the full project lifecycle and ensure successful delivery according to time, cost, quality, and performance targets. The role involves close collaboration with production, procurement, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
Leading projects from initiation to closure
Owning project scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables
Coordinating internal teams and external partners
Driving technical solutions in machine design and industrial systems
Managing risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle
Ensuring compliance with technical standards and requirements
Reporting project progress to stakeholders and steering committees
Contributing to continuous improvement of project management practices
You have experience working with technical projects in an industrial environment and are comfortable taking ownership from idea to implementation.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar
Proven experience in project management within industry or technology
A good understanding of machine design, investments, or technical systems
Strong skills in communication, coordination, and stakeholder management
A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving and delivery
The ability to work independently and drive projects forward
Fluency in English (spoken and written)

ABOUT THE ROLE In this position, you will collaborate daily with colleagues from various departments, including Maintenance, R&D, Operations Technology, and IT, to address a wide range of issues, design inquiries, and requests. Since you will support Suzuki Garphyttan’s other sites located in United States, China, Mexico and England, you will also have global contacts, which requires you to speak and write English and find it exciting to travel. Examples of tasks: Establish/maintaining global standards in the area Ensure machine safety Perform PLC programming Corrective and preventive maintenance Troubleshooting Project management Create electrical schematics in Elcad ABOUT YOU We are looking för someone with a college/university degree in automation or electrical engineering. You have a background as an automation engineer and have worked for at least five years, preferably in a process industry. You have good knowledge of PLC/HMI software for the various products as well as basic IT knowledge. For the position, it is required that you have: Knowledge in Electrical engineering Experience in Project Management Knowledge in PLC programming (Siemens S7-1500, TIA portal and safety PLC) Knowledge in HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems Knowledge in drive systems from Siemens (Sinamics) Experience of design in ELPROCAD It is advantageous if you have: Experience with Mitsubishi PLC, Eurotherm Epower, Lenze What personality does our candidate have? Är du vår nya mekaniker med elbilskompetens? Vi på Bilhallen Servicecenter, en auktoriserad Suzuki-verkstad, söker nu en driven bilmekaniker som vill vara med och forma vår verkstad. Har du HV-utbildning, ett socialt driv och trivs när det händer mycket? Då är det dig vi letar efter! Som mekaniker hos oss arbetar du med allt från traditionell service till avancerad felsökning och reparationer på moderna el- och hybridfordon. Som auktoriserad Suzuki-verkstad arbetar vi dessutom enligt höga kvalitetskrav och med den senaste tekniken, vilket gör rollen både utvecklande och varierad. Tjänsten kräver både teknisk skicklighet och ett sinne för ordning.
