Your Mission Your main objective will be to work hands-on with our Data Platform, which consolidates all structured and unstructured test, flight, and process data from across the company. Your work will empower data-driven decisions in various departments and enable us to generate valuable insights from cross-departmental data. More specifically, you will: * Build and maintain complex web applications focusing on backend development * Create applications to allow the monitoring of real time data with different types of visualization * Improve general performance and responsiveness * Author technical and user documentation * Contribute on architectural decisions based on trade off analysis * Guide less experienced engineers sharing your knowledge and know-how Who you are and what you have * Strong understanding and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in one of the following languages: C#, Java, Rust, Python. * Practical experience in data streaming frameworks and applications (Kafka, Flink, MQTT, Redis, etc) * Highly proficient with high frequency scientific data (e.g., time series, frequency domain) streaming * Hands-on experience designing microservices architecture and API design * Experience with Protobuf encoding and columnar based file formats (Parquet, Arrow, zarr, etc.) * Experience with automated software testing (unit tests, functional tests, etc.) * Experience with CI/CD (preferably in GitLab) Nice to Have (Optional): * Practical experience with RESTful and WebSocket-based applications. * Experience with OLAP column-oriented databases (Druid, Clickhouse, etc) * Understanding of infrastructure, cloud services and network. * Experience in at least one major front-end framework (preferably React) * Experience with the Aerospace Engineering domain use cases. Mission Brief As a Ground Systems Working Student, you will support the design and setup of a new control room for launch operations while contributing to broader systems engineering and development activities within the Ground Systems team. You will help translate operational needs into structured and practical system solutions across both physical and software domains. Mission Brief We deliver the half of the rocket that stays on the ground. As (Senior) Project Manager in the Ground Systems department at Isar Aerospace, you will be managing the establishment and deployment of mid- to large-scale test and launch facilities. Situated in Munich, you will be playing a key role in managing the project from the initiation, over all engineering phases, through construction and commissioning until handing over to the on-site operations crew. The multidisciplinary team you will be working with consists of highly motivated engineers with an international background, fulfilling technical and co-ordinational roles in the project. You will coordinate timeline, costs, risks and top-level requirements with internal and external stakeholders, reporting to senior management. Your Role in Our Space Mission: * Technically manage a multidisciplinary, cross-functional project team, covering multiple departments * Manage an international constellation of internal and external stakeholders including contract setup and negotiation * Be responsible for reporting on the project status to management regarding ambitious timelines, budgets and top-level risks of the project * Ability to identify, assess and mitigate technical, financial and operational risks early and proactively * Closely collaborate with our internal customers of the rocket systems, using your technical know-how to realise the project according to set scope and timeline * Contribute to the establishment of new sites for Isar Aerospace by working closely together with service departments * Setup and improve workflows, processes, structures where necessary, to expedite project execution in collaboration with team managers across departments Qualification Checklist * B.
