ABOUT STACKS Stacks is building an AI-native platform that reinvents how modern finance teams run the monthly close. The opportunity is massive: every growing company depends on accurate, timely financial data, yet most are still operating with tools and workflows built for a different era. In just two years, we’ve grown from a team of 2 to 30+ and are on a rapid trajectory. We’ve raised a $23m Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and we were recently recognised as one of Harmonic’s Hottest Startups of 2026. We’re already trusted by leading European scale-ups including Pleo, Freetrade, and Motorway. Our team is a blend of finance, product, and technical experts from top-tier companies like Uber, Plaid, Miro, Mollie, and Bunq, united by the drive to create a game-changing solution. We’re a team that is deeply customer-obsessed, plays to win, and isn’t afraid to take big, bold bets. We move fast, hold a high bar, and are committed to growing together as we scale. ABOUT THE ROLE Stacks is looking for a fiercely ambitious, entrepreneurial, and technically driven Implementation Engineer to join our team! In this high-impact role, you’ll be critical in ensuring our customers successfully implement Stacks, integrating it with their core financial systems. If you’re excited by the idea of limitless growth and fast-paced challenges, this is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career as you help shape the future of Stacks. 🧱 WHAT YOU'LL DO * Product Implementation & Onboarding: Lead the technical implementation of Stacks for new customers and new product features/modules, including configuring the environment, executing system tests, assisting with UAT, and providing cutover and hypercare support to ensure they are fully onboarded and proficient in using Stacks. * Customer Solutions & Support: Leverage technical knowledge to advise customers on best practices, translate accounting business problems into solutions using Stacks, and work with the Engineering team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues during and after deployment. * Process Improvement & Automation: Drive function building and process improvements to establish smoother, more efficient operational workflows between Customer Success and Engineering. Develop internal tools and automation scripts (light scripting/coding) to streamline customer implementations and scale operational efficiency. * Documentation & Self-Service: Develop and refine Stacks' documentation hub by updating existing content, creating new documentation, and adding materials that support improved client self-service. * Product Improvement: Drive continuous product improvement by capturing and structuring customer feedback, collaborating directly with Product and Engineering to articulate clear problem statements, and influencing the prioritisation of future development. 🧩 WHAT YOU NEED * Project Management: Experience managing software implementation projects (3+ years) in a SaaS environment, either as an internal lead for process improvement initiatives or as an external consultant managing client implementations. * ERP Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience using Accounting ERPs as a power user (Accountant or ERP Administrator) or as an external Consultant who has supported client implementations and improvements. Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus. * Technical Proficiency: Can understand and explain complex systems to customers, and can self-solve technical problems encountered by customers. Experience with SQL is a plus, as is a basic understanding of software development principles and the ability to create simple solutions using basic scripts (e.g. Python, Node JS). * Accounting Domain Knowledge & Customer-Facing Confidence: You possess strong familiarity with accounting, ideally as a CPA or someone experienced with the month-end close and reporting. This enables you to engage confidently with finance users and technical stakeholders, listening, challenging assumptions, and earning trust. 🚀 WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU * Foundational role: Help shape a category-defining company from an early stage, working directly with founders and a small, high-agency team. * Meaningful ownership: Competitive equity in a company scaling rapidly towards $10m ARR, where your impact will directly shape the outcome. * Cutting-edge product and tech: Work at the intersection of AI and finance, building systems that fundamentally change how companies run their financial close. * High-calibre team: Collaborate with people from companies like Uber, Plaid, Miro, and Mollie. * Exceptional workspace: Our London HQ is based in Fora — a modern, design-led space in the heart of the city with access to a gym, classes, and an environment built for focused, in-person building * Strong team culture: We run regular socials and off-sites that bring the team together properly, we recently have our 2-year anniversary party in Amsterdam, with board games, a tarot card reader and live music 🎶 🤝 THE HIRING PROCESS * Step 1: 30-minute initial call with Ben (Implementation Engineer) to discuss your background, motivation, experience, and technical skills * Step 2: 30-minute conversation with Lauren (CSM) to dive deeper into your experience * Step 3: Take-home and 1-hour panel interview with 3 members of our GTM team * Step 4: 30-minute final conversation with our Farid (COO) * Step 5: Offer!
YOUR MISSION We are a Berlin-based startup transforming how industrial materials are bought and sold across Europe. One of the oldest industries in the world still runs on Excel, PDF and email. We are replacing that with AI that runs the buying and selling workflow end to end, increasing liquidity, speeding up transactions and reducing waste for hundreds of steel and metal distributors. We have strong early traction, real enterprise customers and committed investors. We are a lean, technical team scaling our enterprise pilots and building the AI infrastructure underneath them. Your job as Senior Product Engineer is to make sure we deliver on that traction and stay ahead. You partner closely with Co-founder Simon, who owns sales; you own that we ship, that enterprise customers succeed, and that the product stays in front. This is a senior, hands-on role with three pillars. 1. Build and ship with AI * Ship production software using AI as a force multiplier — prototypes, integrations, customer-facing flows — and get them live, not just specified. * Move our AI from assisting people to running the buying and selling workflow as autonomous agents. * Integrate our pipeline deep into customer systems and ERPs (SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics), and design for fast onboarding so a new customer reaches value in days, not months. * Our stack: Python, FastAPI, Pydantic AI, Pydantic Logfire, JavaScript/Node, React, GCP, Kubernetes. You won't be expected to master all of it on day one, but you should be comfortable navigating it with AI tooling. 2. Lead technical communication with enterprise customers * Own the technical relationship with three to five enterprise customers: run the discovery workshops, scope the work, run first-line UAT, and steer executive, procurement and IT conversations. * Translate customer reality into clear build decisions and engineering reality into clear customer expectations. Hold the line on scope when a request will not move the metric that matters. * Represent the product credibly to senior stakeholders, and to investors when a customer also sits on our cap table. 3. Help build the product org * Drive the shipping cadence: a weekly or biweekly release rhythm with engineering, and sequence delivery against engineering capacity with our Head of Tech. * Make the strategic product calls — what we build next, and what we deliberately do not. * As we scale enterprise customers, help grow how the team works and the product function around you. YOUR PROFILE You are a builder who ships with AI and can run an enterprise customer relationship and help shape how we build. Two non-negotiables: technical capability and product sense. Everything else sits behind those. * Excellent written and verbal communication in English and in German (C1 or C2 must have, native not required). You can run a technical workshop with a German industrial customer end to end. * Berlin-based or willing to relocate. The role also includes regular travel to customer sites in Central Germany (~2–3 days per month). * 5+ years building product, with at least 2 years in genuinely technical roles (engineering, technical PM at a real engineering company, solutions architect, forward-deployed engineer). * Deep LLM/AI experience: you build and ship real software with LLMs and agents in production, not just prototype or chat with them. You can walk us through something you shipped and how you built it. Bonus if you have shipped an agentic or autonomous system. * AI coding tools: you use Cursor, Claude Code or comparable as your primary development environment - not occasionally, but as the way you build. This is how you ship independently without engineering support. * Strong technical instincts: you read code, evaluate an architecture, and hold your own in a design review with engineering. * First-line UAT discipline: you have personally signed off (or rejected) enterprise releases and can describe the framework you used. * Comfortable owning several enterprise customers in parallel without dropping balls, and pushing back on scope when needed. * Able to simplify complexity and make fast, sound decisions under pressure. Nice-to-have: background in an AI-first company; ERP integrations (SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics) or procurement / order-management workflows; early-stage or founding-engineer experience, industrial B2B, metals, supply chain or manufacturing experience. WHY US? * Ownership of named enterprise accounts, judged on outcomes rather than hours. * Direct technical impact: you see what you ship in production within weeks. * Senior co-founders who are technical operators, not pitch-deck founders. Decisions happen fast. * Competitive base, performance bonus, and meaningful equity at a Series A company. * Regular travel to customer sites (mainly Central Germany). * Subsidised Urban Sports Club membership and Deutschlandticket. * Hybrid work format, office in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. * Regular team events, company breakfasts and Friday drinks.

Experience building platforms that integrate deeply with ERP ecosystems such as SAP, Epicor, Infor, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce. Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, platform engineering, and developer experience tooling. Experience leading architecture in growth-stage SaaS organizations.
