We're looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our fleet and drivers operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legislation. Working closely with the Transport Manager, you’ll help deliver a reliable service to our Sharpsmart customers while supporting and developing our driver team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. From daily compliance checks and driver briefings to planning routes and managing vehicle records, you’ll be central to keeping our transport operation running smoothly.
This role is based full time in Rainham Essex. The working pattern is 4on4off - 12 hour Night shift role.
Sharpsmart Transport Team is at the very centre of our business providing an essential service to our Healthcare Customers. We are now expanding our team in Rainham, Essex and have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join this growing team. In the role of Transport Coordinator your focus will be the collection route schedule and this will include vehicle and driver utilisation to ensure all SLA's are achieved within a compliant framework. The Transport Service Coordinator will communicate with drivers and other key internal departments. alongside planning, implementing and controlling existing and new collection routes.

This position is permanent and based in Munich. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Act as a true force multiplier for the CEO by owning critical topics, preparing and driving key decisions where C-level thinking, commercial judgment, and a strong sense for Westwing’s market positioning are required * Own and continuously sharpen Westwing’s strategic operating rhythm, including Group strategy, OKRs, executive meetings, senior leadership conferences, and key cross-functional decision forums * Drive accountability by challenging C-level and Senior Leadership stakeholders, following up relentlessly on commitments, escalating blockers, and ensuring that strategic priorities translate into measurable business impact for Westwing and our customers * Own the Group level KPI dashboard and leverage data and AI-enabled analytics to create transparency on business performance, strategic progress, risks, and trade-offs, enabling the CEO and Executive Team to make faster and better decisions * Prepare high-stakes CEO and governance moments, including Supervisory Board meetings, executive presentations, strategic storylines, decision papers, and performance narratives reflective of Westwing’s premium standards as a design brand YOU COME WITH * 8+ years of relevant experience in business building, strategy, and/or consulting, ideally with a proven track record of leading a business or commercial unit (beyond early-stage founding); experience in consumer/lifestyle businesses is a clear plus * Outstanding strategic acumen, commercial judgment, and analytical sharpness, with the ability to quickly understand complex business challenges, identify what really matters, and turn ambiguity into action * A strong sense for customers, brand, and aesthetics, ideally with a genuine interest in interior design, lifestyle, and premium consumer experiences * Exceptional executive communication skills in English (German is a plus), with the confidence and credibility to challenge senior stakeholders, push for clarity, and escalate when needed * Excellent storylining and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis, strategic options, and business performance data into sharp decision papers, Board materials, and CEO-ready narratives, ensuring materials are also visually compelling * A true ownership mindset, high resilience, and the ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment through a strong balance of relentless drive, sound judgment, and social intelligence WHY WESTWING If you are looking for a place where ambition meets creativity, where ideas turn into impact fast, and where people are trusted to grow - you have found it. COMPENSATION & PERKS Pay Rate: $63,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary Full-Time Salary Position 100% Company paid medical for employee, plus family discounts Paid Time Off (Including your birthday!) 401k with Company Match Pet Benefits Tuition Reimbursement after 6 month This management level position oversees multiple teams at the assigned Logistics Field Operation location, and may supervise warehouse and inventory teams as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee day-to-day transportation operations needs at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders. * Participate in the development of site specific goals and objectives, and ensure alignment and effective execution within the site. * Review and evaluate daily route schedules and work with Logistics Operations Planning and Scheduling to address issues and deficiencies. * Providing mentoring and accountability to, direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management. * Ensure work areas meet or exceed applicable workplace safety standards, including yard cleanliness and, completing GEMBA walks. (Gemba translates to “where the work is”). * Ensure timely and effective communication with internal teams. * As needed, coordinate and monitor the movement of inventory on the ground through the warehouse workflow; evaluate and distribute work and assigned shifts to meet business needs. REQUIREMENTS * Knowledge of DOT compliance/regulations * 2+ years of people leadership experience * 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience * Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related fields. * Demonstrable experience leading or developing people (in either formal or informal roles), including managing CDL drivers. * Transportation experience, which may include driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer, or equivalent Military experience preferred. * Must be available to work Thursday-Sunday, 5pm-5am WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75’; regularly climb ladders and ramps of up to 10’; regularly work up to 10’ above ground; continually sit for 10 hours; regularly push, pull and lift 20 lbs, and periodically lift up to 60 lbs. Ability to work in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, dusty, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions such as: rain, snow, heat, etc. Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
