Define and implement supplier quality strategies, standards, and processes. Qualify and approve suppliers, including planning and performing audits and First Article Inspections (FAI). Lead supplier quality investigations (NCRs) and drive effective root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA). Develop suppliers through proactive performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. Support sourcing decisions and risk assessments from a quality perspective. Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, production, and logistics to ensure alignment and problem resolution. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100, ECSS). Monitor and report supplier performance, risks, and improvement progress to management Your Story Must’s: Strong knowledge of supplier auditing, qualification, and development. Familiarity with quality tools (8D, FMEA, PPAP, SPC) and standards (ISO 9001, AS9100). Experience in supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration. Degree in engineering, quality management, or equivalent experience. Nice to have’s: Experience from aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing. Manager, Quality Assurance The Manager, Quality ensures the robustness of the site Quality Management System (QMS) for an aerospace investment casting facility producing FAA‑approved PMA airfoil castings. This role is accountable for ensuring product conformity, regulatory compliance (FAA, AS9100/ISO), and customer satisfaction. The Quality manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, customers, suppliers, and regulators to drive robust process control, effective inspection systems, and continuous improvement across the casting value stream. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and develop the site QMS, including Quality Engineering, Final Inspection, Calibration, Supplier Quality, and Receiving Inspection. * Own and sustain the site AS9100/ISO-based QMS to support compliant manufacture and release of PMA airfoil castings. * Serve as a site interface for FAA, customers, and regulatory audits; ensure timely closure of findings and commitments. * Act as a site quality expert for product conformity, nonconformance control, and escape management. * Help to develop inspection strategies and acceptance criteria, including FAI, CMM/dimensional, visual, and NDT. * Lead supplier quality and special process compliance, including Nadcap coordination (welding, NDT). * Drive corrective action, data-driven improvement, and effective use of audits, metrics, and root cause analysis. * Help to ensure training, qualification, and competency of personnel performing quality‑critical work. * Maintain end-to-end traceability and record control in compliance with FAA and AS9100 requirements. Education and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy/Materials Science, or related field * Minimum 2+ years demonstrated experience leading an AS9100/ISO quality management system, managing internal/external audits, and implementing effective corrective and preventive action systems or 5 years Quality technical experience. * Quality technical experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (investment casting strongly preferred). * Experience supporting or leading Nadcap accreditation activities for special processes—specifically welding and NDT is strongly preferred. * Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements applicable to PMA parts and product release/traceability expectations is required.
