Maintenance Technician II (Crystal Springs)

Job Summary   Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.   This is a full-time, second-shift position. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.    Essential Job Functions *   * Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor.  Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment. * Preform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility. * Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment. * Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment. * Accurately completes daily maintenance reports. * Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste. * Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.   * This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities   * Two to five years related experience. * Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Able to work with minimal supervision. Flexible able to quickly shift priorities as needed. * Able to work from verbal and written instructions.   #MNMN   Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Maintenance: Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required. Physical Demands Maintenance: Medium - Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.

Sunday hours are 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, and Monday through Thursday hours are 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
