As the founding recruiter, you’ll play a foundational role in building Navigate’s engineering and operations teams. This is a
full-cycle role with high ownership—you’ll partner directly with hiring managers to define roles, build pipelines, and close
exceptional talent.
This isn’t a plug-and-play recruiting role. You’ll help shape how we hire, what great looks like, and how we attract builders who
want to work at the edge of AI and real-world applications.

The Market Management Team, within the Experiences Supply organization is a multidisciplinary team that focuses on onboarding, managing, and optimizing the most exciting activities hosted by locals happening in your city today. We also work with the most exciting people, businesses and brands to introduce new experiences to the world. We create exceptional hosted experiences that foster human connection, combatting the loneliness epidemic by bringing people together in the real world. We then work closely with the hosts of these experiences to ensure they deliver the best experience to guests, while growing their business. The Difference You Will Make: The ‘Senior Manager, Market Management, AMER’ drives and is accountable for the AMER market management team’s success. Your team is responsible for the management, optimization, and growth of experiences in their assigned cities. You will track & hold your team accountable for stretch goals that demand a creative and resourceful approach, encouraging the exploration of different avenues to grow the Experiences business in your region. You’ll be responsible for cultivating a world-class host community, scaling localized excellence and driving sustainable growth in our most strategic markets, across both more traditional experience hosts and differentiated supply unique to Airbnb. Anchored in Airbnb’s broader business objectives, you will align regional initiatives with global priorities, ensuring consistent impact across diverse geographies. Your leadership will be critical in navigating market complexities, setting bold priorities, and empowering your team to anticipate trends, respond to shifts, and execute with precision. You will clear a path for your team to sprint to achieving their quarterly & annual objectives and KPIs – addressing blockers, rewarding wins and reporting out on your region’s output to VP+ level leadership. A typical day: * Represent your region & team – Consistently track, develop & present your region’s wins, worries and blockers to cross-functional stakeholders & leadership, with a strong POV. Proactively lead the solution for any blockers for cross-functional teams to consider. Triage & represent team & host needs to achieve quarterly & annual objectives & KPIs. * Lead Regional Growth: Leads a regionally distributed team of territory or market-based Supply Managers that work daily to retain Experience Hosts and expand Host availability on the platform, leading to GMV growth in-market. * Portfolio Optimization: Delivers the right mix of Experience supply, in the right markets, at the right quality levels and the right pricing across all tiers of Experiences. * Optimization & Retention Leadership – Set the tone, pace & strategy for account management in your region. Arm, motivate & enable the team to orient hosts through their first 6-12 months on-platform, ensuring that the team is equipped to coach hosts with technical, optimization and growth best practices (e.g. pricing, run-of-show). Be accountable for regional optimization & retention KPIs. * Communication & Collaboration – Provide regular project and regional updates & actionable feedback to cross-functional leads. Size issues & collaborate with peers, leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to creatively problem-solve. * Tracking & Reporting – Develop data & tracking systems for your region. Ensure 100% accurate data hygiene across all tooling and leadership updates. Report out on both positive & negative performance trends, with a solution-oriented mindset. Ensure that the team stays up-to-date on best-practices, tooling updates & team trainings. * Quality & Alignment to Brand Vision – Ensure that your region’s sourced supply meets the quality bar to deliver against the Experiences vision. Align your region’s leads with taste and quality measures set forth by cross-functional stakeholders. Your expertise: * Over 12 years of global field operations experience, including 5+ years managing high-performing teams in fast-scaling, matrixed environments across multiple continents. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related fields. * Experience managing small to mid-sized regional teams * Deep knowledge of what is happening in your region as it relates to travel, entertainment, pop culture, art, food & beverage and other hospitality trends. * Proven track record of innovative problem-solving and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities. * Skilled in delivering for cross-functional teams, and fostering trust across creative, technical, and business disciplines. * Proficient in CRM systems (like Salesforce) and organizational systems (like Airtable) * Accountability for results – with a proven ability to deliver against KPIs & business targets * Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, pivot quickly, and be motivated by changing circumstances, consistently acting as a self-starter. THE ROLE THE FIRST FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER IN SAN FRANCISCO As Meticulous's first Forward Deployed Engineer in San Francisco, you'll establish our US FDE presence and help define how this function operates from the ground up. The FDE team is still small and the playbook is still being written - you'll be instrumental in shaping the processes, tooling, and best practices that the function runs on as it scales. You'll work directly with engineering leaders at the world's most AI-driven companies, understanding their unique architectures and crafting solutions that work for their specific needs. This role demands an unusual combination of deep technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive, you'll be writing high-performance code one day and presenting architectural decisions to VPs of Engineering the next. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES This role spans both customer work and engineering. You own each customer end-to-end - and do what’s needed to make sure Meticulous is transformational for them. This involves everything from changes to core product to owning the customer relationship: * Architect and deploy at scale: Work with a customer to understand their full architecture, design implementation strategies that fit their systems, and pair with their engineers to deliver them. * Evolve the core product to make the customer successful: This can range from debugging and fixing issues that are blocking the rollout (which often go deep into the core technology, such as the deterministic browser), to shipping features that will be transformative for the customer you’re focused on, but also move the product forward itself e.g. rework parts of Meticulous to work at a new level of scale required by the customer. * Own the technical relationship and lead the pilot: Be the technical lead to engineering leadership (VPs Eng, Staff+ engineers) at each customer - driving scoping, integration, and rollout. A founder or account executive handles pricing and contracts; the two of you operate as a pod per account. * Guide the direction of the product based on what you learn in the field: As you see how the product performs, and how engineers workflows are rapidly evolving, work out what do we need to build to unlock the next level of automating software development? Where there are improvements which make sense to own and ship, ship them; where the work is larger and needs deeper scoping pair with core engineering team to make them happen. * Build the playbook: The FDE function is still being defined. You'll be instrumental in establishing the processes, tooling, and best practices that make each deployment smoother and faster than the last, creating the leverage that lets the team scale. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Exceptional engineering skills: Typically 3+ years in a demanding technical role, but we'll consider exceptional candidates with 1+ years of experience. * Highly agentic: you have a bias to action, move fast, take ownership without being asked, and get genuinely frustrated when things stall - this role demands entrepreneurial self-drive * Strong communication skills: You can explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and executives, and you're energized by customer collaboration * Willingness to travel: Approximately 25% travel to customer sites.
