Figma seeks an AI-Native Performance TPM to own performance prevention, diagnostics, and safe rollout for both our flagship products and next-gen AI features. This platform-level role spans desktop, browser and mobile; requires deep experience with performance testing (load, stress, endurance, interference), observability, and incident response. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.  What you'll do at Figma: * This is a specialist Platform TPM owning horizontal, high-visibility performance programs that span: * Flagship product performance (load times, FPS, memory) and AI features (model inference latency, throughput, cost, and reliability) * Desktop, browser, native mobile (React Native / WebView), and WASM contexts * Cross-org programs: observability/telemetry, regression prevention (performance CI), xfn performance forum, SEV mitigation, safe rollout of AI capabilities, and CE Planning (customer engineering / enterprise readiness) We’d love to hear from you if you have: * 5+ years in performance engineering, performance TPM, platform TPM, or SRE with hands-on experience shipping performance programs for SaaS products * Demonstrated experience with load, stress, performance or scalability testing and new-build comparisons * Deep familiarity with web performance (FCP, LCP), rendering/FPS, WASM memory, mobile profiling (Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler) * CI/CD and test automation experience: integrating performance tests into pipelines  * Distributed systems, cloud infra (AWS), autoscaling, and capacity planning * Hands-on prior work with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agent platforms While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have: * Experience with MLops or LLMs: inference latency tradeoffs, batching, caching, etc * Observability stack: Datadog / Sentry / RUM * Background as a performance engineer (not just TPM) with code or test harness contributions. * Experience with large enterprise Planning / customer load tests. * Familiarity with real-time collaborative systems and GPU/WASM performance constraints. We're hiring Figma's first dedicated Technical Program Manager for Data Science to own that mission — driving our multi-phase Self-Serve Analytics program from semantic layer expansion through the Figma Data Assistant, while building the operational foundation for a growing DS org. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FIGMA: * Own end-to-end program delivery for Figma's Self-Serve Analytics initiative that includes semantic layer expansion, Slack bot launch, automated eval framework, and the Figma Data Assistant * Coordinate delivery across Data Engineering, DS ICs, Security, IT, and business stakeholders (Sales, Product, Finance, Research) to expand self-serve data coverage and drive adoption * Lead the governance and security work stream: work with Security and IT on LLM data access policies, PII guardrails, access controls, and LLM provider approvals * Drive adoption and change management — build champion networks, run training programs, and meet Figmates where they work (Slack, Notion) to shift from request-based to self-serve data culture * Build and maintain DS org operations: planning cycles, headcount tracking, onboarding programs, and team rhythms for a growing org * Own program-level success metrics: % of data questions answered via self-serve, time-to-insight, DS ad-hoc request volume reduction * Work closely with peer TPMs & Data Scientists (AI, Infra, Performance) to coordinate on overlapping platform programs and shared data infrastructure needs WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: * 5+ years of technical program management experience (or equivalent) driving data infrastructure, analytics platform, or data democratization programs * Hands-on experience with modern data stacks: you're comfortable discussing semantic layers, data catalogs, BI tooling (Hex, Sigma), and AI-powered query interfaces (Cortex Analyst, RAG) at a program level * A track record of driving adoption — not just shipping internal tools, but changing behavior across technical and non-technical audiences through change management, enablement, and champion programs * Strong cross-functional program delivery: planning, dependency management, stakeholder alignment across deeply distributed teams WHILE IT'S NOT REQUIRED, IT'S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE: * Hands-on familiarity with dbt, Snowflake Semantic Views, Acryl, Dagster, or similar data engineering tooling * Experience building or scaling eval frameworks for AI-generated outputs (golden SQL, accuracy dashboards, regression detection) * Background in data-driven product analytics or developer tools — understanding of how DS ICs work with PMs and EMs and driving alignment on requirements * Strong bias to action, self-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to bring people together in a fast-paced environment At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. The mission of the Engineering TPM team is to drive Figma's most important cross-company engineering efforts, and we are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to partner with our Infrastructure team. The TPM provides oversight of the most important efforts that require coordinated technical execution across the Org to succeed. This is a role focused on enabling Figma's infrastructure teams to scale, improve performance, and deliver on critical projects. These large-scale efforts will involve collaboration across numerous backend, infrastructure, and security teams and cross-functional stakeholders, prioritization, decision-making, tracking execution, and driving operational excellence. We're looking for someone that can work in a TPM greenspace environment and is passionate about people, technology, and program management. Progress over process is our mantra. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FIGMA: * Lead the execution, coordination, and risk management of Figma's infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration with minimal performance impact * Drive key infrastructure initiatives, including reliability, storage, distributed systems, cloud-native performance improvements, and compliance programs (e.g., encryption key management, FedRAMP, SOC 2) * Partner closely with engineering, security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure alignment and on-time delivery * Track program milestones and ensure seamless delivery across multiple infrastructure teams, including data, caching, observability, and security engineering * Provide regular updates to executive leadership, external partners, and internal teams on the status of infrastructure programs, including risks, blockers, and dependencies * Develop and drive best practices in infrastructure program management, improving visibility into progress, risks, and technical dependencies * Facilitate large-scale testing and rollout strategies for critical infrastructure changes to minimize downtime and ensure high system reliability * Translate technical constraints and risks into executive-level communications for senior leadership and external stakeholders WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: * 8+ years in Infrastructure TPM or related roles (cloud engineering, SRE, or infra-focused software engineering), with hands-on experience in cloud-native architectures and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, or similar) * Deep technical expertise across infrastructure components - storage (S3, RDS, DynamoDB), caching (Redis), search (OpenSearch), and event-driven systems (Kafka) - with the ability to reason across org-level goals, architectural trade-offs, and component-level details * Track record driving large-scale infrastructure programs such as migrations, cost optimization, encryption/key management, and reliability initiatives for high-availability, business-critical services * Strong cross-functional program management skills, including coordinating multi-team engineering orgs, tracking performance bottlenecks, optimizing infrastructure SLAs, and establishing PM best practices in ambiguous environments * Proven stakeholder management, with experience engaging external partners (cloud providers, enterprise customers) and translating complex technical challenges into clear executive-level communications WHILE IT’S NOT REQUIRED, IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE: * A track record of setting up and scaling TPM functions or program management practices within an engineering organization * Experience working on high-visibility enterprise security and compliance programs (SOC 2, FedRAMP, encryption key management) * Infrastructure incident management and analysis experience * Experience working with external enterprise partners on technical programs (e.g., Apple, AWS, Google) * Background in software engineering or site reliability engineering (SWE/SRE-to-TPM career path) At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go.
