Aurelian builds AI tools that help 911 centers handle more with less, so telecommunicators can stay focused on what matters most
and communities get the response they need.
AVA is a conversational AI agent that answers non-emergency calls; the agent routes, triages, and resolves the calls without any
human intervention. By handling administrative calls like noise complaints, lost dogs, and parking inquiries, AVA eliminates hold
times and lets call-takers focus their energy on actual emergencies.
CORA supports call-takers on the calls that matter most. CORA is an on-screen assistant that delivers real-time SOP checklists,
smart reminders, and contextual guidance as an emergency call unfolds, so dispatchers stay calm, consistent, and confident when
every second counts. When AVA detects an emergency mid-call, it transfers the caller to a telecommunicator and passes along the
caller details, location, incident type, and key statements directly into CORA. The call-taker never starts from scratch.
The problem we're solving is serious. The average emergency communications center is 30% understaffed nationwide. Staffing
shortages drive burnout and attrition, which makes the shortage worse. Meanwhile, 60-80% of the calls coming in aren't even
emergencies at all. Aurelian addresses both sides of that equation: AVA reduces unnecessary call volume, and CORA makes every
emergency call more manageable for the people handling it.
Aurelian is live in centers across the country, answering thousands of non-emergency calls every day, and is backed by New
Enterprise Associates and Y Combinator. Aurelian is growing rapidly; we are hiring people who want to help scale this work and
make a real difference in public safety infrastructure for communities across the country.
We're hiring a Staff Product Engineer to own product outcomes end-to-end. We don't have product managers at Aurelian — our
engineers talk to customers, decide what to build, and ship it.
This role is for someone who is as excited about why we're building something as how. You'll write code every week, but the thing
that makes you exceptional is your ability to deeply understand a problem, make smart product decisions, and own the outcome.

FOR FULL-TIME ROLES, AURELIAN OFFERS A VARIETY OF BENEFITS, INCLUDING:
RDQ427R276 Location: San Francisco or Seattle At Databricks, we are passionate about enabling data teams to solve the world's toughest problems — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business. Founded by engineers — and customer obsessed — we leap at every opportunity to tackle technical challenges, from designing next-gen UI/UX for interfacing with data to scaling our services and infrastructure across millions of virtual machines. And we're only getting started. More about the team: The AI Platform team builds the infrastructure that powers machine learning and AI at scale on Databricks. Our products span the full ML lifecycle — from feature engineering and model training to model serving and monitoring — enabling data and AI teams to build, deploy, and operate production ML systems with confidence. We work across some of the most technically demanding areas in the platform, including recommendation systems, real-time inference, large-scale distributed training, LLM infrastructure, vector search, and feature stores. Our mission is to make it radically easier for enterprises to put AI into production. We do this by providing a unified, governed, and performant AI platform that integrates deeply with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform — connecting MLflow, Unity Catalog, Model Serving, Vector Search, Feature Engineering, LLM, and Agent infrastructure into a cohesive experience. You will join a team that ships products used by thousands of the world's most sophisticated data and AI organizations. You will drive the vision and roadmap for AI platform product areas and define how customers build, train, deploy, and monitor AI and ML systems on Databricks. You will collaborate across engineering teams to deliver an integrated and powerful path from experimentation to production. The impact you will have: * You will own the product roadmap for AI platform areas — defining what we build, why, and in what order — to accelerate customer adoption of AI and ML in production. * You will drive strategy for key AI platform capabilities, shaping how enterprises operationalize AI at scale. * You will partner closely with engineering teams to make deeply technical decisions about ML infrastructure — from distributed training architectures to real-time serving systems. * You will represent the voice of the customer by engaging directly with enterprise ML teams, translating their pain points and workflows into platform capabilities that simplify the path to production AI. * You will collaborate with GTM, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success teams to drive enterprise adoption, shape field enablement, and inform competitive positioning. * You will define pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategy for AI platform features, working with business teams to maximize value capture. * You will grow end-user engagement with Databricks AI tools by identifying adoption bottlenecks and partnering cross-functionally to remove them. What we look for: * 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager working on platform or infrastructure products, ideally in ML/AI, data, or cloud services. * Deep technical background — CS, EE, or equivalent degree strongly preferred; former software engineer experience is a significant plus. You should be comfortable going deep on system architecture, writing technical specs, and engaging credibly with world-class ML engineers. * Experience with ML/AI infrastructure, data platforms, or cloud services (e.g., model training, model serving, feature stores, vector search, LLM infrastructure, ML pipelines, or similar systems). Familiarity with recommendation systems is a bonus. * Proven enterprise B2B product management experience with highly technical customers — you have shipped platform products, driven commercial outcomes, and worked with field teams to land enterprise deals. And we're only getting started. More about the team: The Serverless Workspaces team is the engine behind Databricks' shift from a "configure-first" to a "use-now" platform. We are redefining the customer onboarding experience by removing the heavy lifting of cloud infrastructure without complicated networking, storage, and cluster configuration, just instant access to data and AI. Our mission is to deliver "Workspaces in Seconds." We are building the invisible infrastructure that allows any use (not just infrastructure or IT teams) to spin up a fully governed, secure, and compliant Databricks environment instantly. You will own the strategy for this next-generation platform layer, balancing the simplicity of a SaaS experience with the control enterprise customers demand. The impact you will have: * Drive the transition to Serverless: You will lead the strategy to unify the journey to onboard to serverless and classic workspaces and drive 10X usage of serverless in the next year * Democratize Workspace Creation: You will design and ship flows that allow users to spin up workspaces instantly with little friction while maintaining strict governance guardrails and company policies * Redefine the "Getting Started" experience: You will lower the barrier to entry by removing the requirement for customers to manage detailed cloud infrastructure configurations before using Databricks but allowing them dial those in when they’re ready * Solve "Workspace Proliferation": As creating workspaces becomes easier, you will help define the tools and policies that allow Admins to confidently govern increased amounts of workspaces across the enterprise * Unify the Data Estate: You will work closely with the Unity Catalog and Identity teams to ensure that these new serverless environments seamlessly integrate with a customer’s existing data and security models. What we look for: * 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager working on cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or SaaS foundations. * Technical depth in Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP resource management (e.g. networking, compute, identity) and how to abstract that complexity for end-users. * Passion for simplification: You have a track record of taking complex technical workflows (like configuring a VPC or peering) and turning them into "one-click" consumer-grade experiences. * Data-driven mindset: You are comfortable defining and tracking KPIs, such as "Time to First Workspace" or "Serverless Adoption Rate," to measure success.
