Serve as the advisor for APAC region for deal booking and commercial approvals, ensuring compliance with pricing policies, approval frameworks, and company guidelines. Review commercial contracts for accuracy and risk, provide timely support to Sales on deal configuration and CRM processes, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Product teams to resolve non-standard commercial requirements. Monitor deal pipelines and reporting to identify and remediate discrepancies, advise on complex strategic deals, and provide cross-regional deal desk support to ensure business continuity and efficient deal execution.
The Legal team supports Datadog’s rapid growth by providing a wide range of legal services across a highly dynamic technology company, from driving new business via contracts and compliance efforts, to protecting Datadog’s offerings. Datadog’s Legal team collaborates with virtually every team across the organization, from engineering to product to marketing. Within Legal, the Commercial, Alliances & Procurement team focuses on all commercial engagements, channel and alliances agreements, procurement matters, and related legal topics across Datadog’s global footprint. The position requires someone who can negotiate complex agreements with Indian customers, have deep expertise in navigating the legal regulatory landscape in India and South East Asia while also supporting broader APJ commercial activity. You will also have the opportunity to influence and refine Datadog’s contracting and compliance approach across these fast-evolving markets. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales, Deal Desk, Procurement, and Privacy. You will be expected to provide strong, practical solutions that balance legal risk with business objectives. This position will also give you exposure to cutting-edge SaaS technology areas such as privacy, security, and AI, allowing you to stay at the forefront of the industry. What You’ll Do: * Negotiate and close a variety of commercial agreements and ancillary documents to support customer sales and partner engagements across India and South East Asia. * Lead negotiations with Indian customers across all regions, as well as South East Asia customers, including from regulated sectors like BFSI. * Deliver practical and decisive legal guidance to internal business teams, exercising sound judgment on risk trade-offs and escalation decisions, functioning as a trusted advisor who translates business needs into contractual commitments and actionable legal advice. * Coach sales team members on negotiation strategies for Indian and South East Asia customers, including delivery of regular internal training sessions and office hours. * Support the ongoing improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and processes in line with emerging laws and regulations in India and South East Asia. * Support knowledge-sharing and mentorship across the Commercial Legal team, contributing to broader team initiatives and special projects. * Build and maintain strong relationships with Datadog stakeholders across the APJ region, including Deal Desk, People/HR, Procurement, and regional sales leadership. Who You Are: * A seasoned lawyer (qualified in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction) with at least 8 years’ law firm and/or in-house commercial transactional experience across Indian and other South East Asian jurisdictions, * Someone with deep expertise in advising on Indian law and/or navigating its complex regulatory environments. As we grow rapidly across India, and expect many customers and prospects to sit in highly regulated industries like BFSI, this role will demand someone who can confidently navigate the complex and evolving regulatory landscape and the sector specific requirements our customers and prospects in India and South East Asia operate within. * Someone possessing strong familiarity with negotiating SaaS contracts, and related technology areas such as privacy, security, intellectual property, and AI. * Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Given the requirements of the role (particularly in supporting business and customers in India) conversational Hindi or Tamil and/or proficiency in one or more other another South East Asian language(s) would be valuable to enable negotiations, participate in customer meetings and collaboration with teams needed to support and build trust directly with customers and stakeholders in the India and South East Asia markets this role will support. * Someone who thrives in negotiating, communicating, educating, and comfortable leading sensitive conversations with both legal and business counterparts. * Someone with integrity, excellent judgment, and a high degree of emotional intelligence. THE ROLE We are seeking a versatile and detail oriented Procurement & Operations Support Coordinator to join our Singapore team. This role combines hands on procurement execution with cross-functional operational coverage across Procurement, Partner Operations, and Logistics within the APAC region. This role sits within Techary's global Sales Operations function, working collaboratively across all Techary entities worldwide. You will be a key connector between regional APAC activity and the broader global organisation, ensuring alignment in processes, data, and operational standards across every Techary entity. Working closely with the wider Procurement & Operations team, you will gain exposure to the full procurement cycle from order request through to fulfilment while also providing critical support to ensure business continuity during periods of absence and resolving operational issues quickly and efficiently. This shared responsibility model ensures that: * No single point of failure exists within the team. * Errors are resolved quickly and efficiently. * Knowledge is cross functional, supporting collaboration and resilience across the APAC region. LOCATION Singapore (5 days in Office, Mon–Fri 9–5) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Support * Process purchase order (PO) requests in line with Techary's global procurement policy. * Liaise with regional and international suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules across APAC markets. * Track orders from confirmation through to delivery, managing returns and RMAs as required. * Support the handling of vendor queries, invoice approvals, and error resolution in order fulfilment. * Escalate and resolve procurement or delivery issues impacting business operations. * Maintain procurement records and update supplier databases with accuracy and consistency. * Assist in generating procurement reports and basic spend analysis for the APAC region. Partner Operations Support * Manage vendor and distributor portal access, logins, and troubleshooting. * Track and maintain rebate submissions, deal registrations, and certification compliance. * Support internal teams with partner programme requirements, audits, and documentation. Logistics Support * Assist with domestic and international shipment bookings, returns, and tracking across the APAC region. * Support compliance with customs, freight, and import/export documentation relevant to Singapore and surrounding markets. * Provide cover for warehouse tasks (receiving, packing, labelling, inventory checks) when required. Error Resolution & Coverage * Assist in resolving operational errors across procurement, partner, and logistics processes. * Troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective actions. * Provide reliable coverage for colleagues during sickness, annual leave, or high-workload periods. * Maintain clear handover notes and process documentation to ensure smooth transitions across time zones. * Coordinate with cross-regional teams globally to ensure seamless operational continuity. ESSENTIAL SKILLS * 1–3 years' experience in procurement, logistics, operations, or vendor/partner management. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve errors independently. * Excellent organisation and multitasking ability to adapt across functions. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is an advantage. * Proficiency with order processing systems, vendor portals, or shipping platforms preferred. * Familiarity with APAC supplier markets, regional logistics, or import/export processes is a plus.
