Professional Galaxy is looking for a Technical writer on behalf of our client.
Working as a technical writer for the “Workshop manual” product at company Vehicle Service Information, a part of the aftermarket organisation. The assignment mainly regards the fields electric vehicles (batteries, charging, e-machines) as well as conventional transmission.
This requires working in a team of 3 technical writers and in close collaboration with method engineers in several teams, who produce the basic repair methods to be described. It is necessary to be able to understand and work towards the right level of description and quality for the customer, as well as grasping terms and basic technical aspects.
The work requires a quick learner and drive.
Some production systems are Ewok/Windchill, Arbortext, Traton’s PDM “OAS”. Consuming systems include Tratons WiO, SWS etc.
Language: Swedish (fluent written technical) + English
Meriting: General knowledge of the technical aspects of heavy vehicles, electric vehicles, battery technology etc. Experience from Scania, MAN or other brands within Traton. Basic illustration competency.
The selection of candidates is done continuously. Good opportunities for an extension of the assignment.

The role involves producing clear and accurate repair method documentation in collaboration with technical writers, illustrators, and method engineers across several teams. Key Responsibilities: - Create descriptions of repair methods for workshop service personnel. - Cover topics including motors, batteries for electric vehicles, and general transmission. - Collaborate with a team of technical writers. - Work closely with illustrators and method engineers who produce the base repair methods. - Ensure the correct level of description and quality for the customer. - Understand and apply relevant technical terms and basic technical concepts. Requirements: - Background in technical communication or similar roles, with hands-on experience in producing technical instructions. - Fluency in English and technical Swedish, both written and spoken (essential requirement). - Ability to understand technical terms and basic technical aspects. - Ability to adapt content to the correct level of detail and quality for the end customer. - Strong focus on end-user needs and ability to translate them into clear instructions and visuals. - Experience working with technical documentation, ideally within industrial, electric vehicle or electrical systems environments. Preferred / Meriting: - Previous experience in large automotive organisations (aftermarket or R&D). - Experience working with structured authoring and documentation management systems (e.g. Arbortext or similar tools). A strong understanding of modern cybersecurity principles and technical security concepts.
