FT Specialist brings together a portfolio of niche digital publications, including ones with more than 160 years of tradition.
You will work within the FT Specialist Data & Analytics team, collaborating with other data analysts and data engineers, as well
as colleagues from Product, Marketing and Editorial to deliver impactful outcomes for our customers and business teams.
As a Data Analyst in FT Specialist, you will work across the full data lifecycle, from building and shaping datasets to delivering
in-depth analyses and BI dashboards that provide actionable insights and drive business decisions. The role combines analytical
thinking with hands-on data work across multiple sources, while also supporting improvements to data quality, tracking and team
processes.
We are looking for someone who has a curiosity for interrogating data and understands the value of storytelling with data. Many
initiatives focus on customer or audience acquisition, retention, and engagement, supporting operational growth.

THE ROLE FT Specialist is looking for a senior reporter to join Sustainable Views, a leading business-to-business publication focused on sustainability rules and regulations, and the changing geopolitics influencing the laws covering environmental, social and governance issues. This role offers the chance to join a growing editorial team and bring new value to readers in one of the most exciting beats in business journalism. The reporter will be responsible for writing news stories, insightful analysis and carrying out interviews that get to the heart of the issues impacting sustainability regulations and their implementation. They will also be required to take part in video and social media content for Sustainable Views Key Responsibilities * Work with the editor and the rest of the team to write news stories, insightful analysis and carry out interviews. * Appear on the Sustainable Views podcast. * Help develop the media offerings from Sustainable Views — including innovative social media posts, audio and visual content. * Develop contacts book. * Attend key events. * Carry out editing if and when required. * Pick up other tasks as and when required by the editors. THE ROLE / POSITION OVERVIEW FT Specialist is seeking a Data Reporter / Senior Data Reporter to join our growing data journalism team, producing exclusive, data-driven reporting and visual storytelling for FundFire and Financial Advisor IQ. This role sits at the intersection of journalism, data analysis and visual design. You will be responsible for sourcing, cleaning, analysing and interpreting complex datasets to uncover original stories covering institutional investments, wealth management and the financial advisory industry. You will also create engaging visualisations and interactive content that help our journalism stand out and deliver insights readers cannot find elsewhere. Working as part of a six-person data visualisation team, you will collaborate closely with reporters and editors across both publications while reporting to the Managing Editor of Data Visualization. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing ambitious long-term investigative and analytical projects as well as delivering shorter-turnaround stories that respond to emerging industry trends and news events. We are looking for a curious, collaborative and entrepreneurial journalist who is passionate about using data to reveal meaningful stories and who is committed to continually developing their skills in a fast-evolving newsroom environment. FURTHER INFORMATION A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $75,000-$95,000. The upper end of the scale reflects pay of someone who comes in at the senior reporter level, with confirmed experience and strong work to show. Earlier career candidates will be considered for reporter-level roles. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skills; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations. This role is part of the FT Specialist US Guild and covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the Writers’ Guild of America East.
