OPPORTUNITY As a Technical Writer Lead, you will author technical documentation for administrators, operators, and business consultants, that represent the different user personas of the core INSIS product and its accompanying software modules.  In this position, you will be part of the Product Development team, collaborating with Product Management, DevOps, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to gather information and produce high-quality content that meets the needs of our customers and partners. The deliverables include release notes, conceptual articles, follow-along procedures, documentation for APIs and web services, video tutorials. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborate with various teams to produce exhaustive and accurate technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences * Author new documentation based on feature requirements, user stories, specifications, direct input from developers and SMEs, and first-hand use of the product * Curate and proofread documentation to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency of style * Leadone or more software implementation projects as required by the Professional Services department in accordance with theFadatamethodology, ensuringSME review and sign-off of all documentationupdates * Regularly monitor the product release calendar and independently plan documentation updates to ensure timely publication for each release * Ensure that project documentation is accurate, is version controlled, and is stored in the appropriate project repository * Work with partner-facing organizations (e.g., Technical Support, Customer Success, Professional Services) to collect feedback and incorporate it into documentation * Enrich the documentation with screenshots, flowcharts, and visuals, to make it more user-friendly * Proactively research product changes and determine the need and scope of edits and improvements * Mentor more junior colleagues and share knowledge across the board WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE Experience & Qualifications  * A minimum of 3 years of proven track-record as a Technical Writer or transferrable authoring experience in a software development environment * Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and fluency in English (preferably backed up with certificate) * Proficiency using Atlassian Confluence and Jira software or other documentation publishing tools * A systematic approach in learning, using, and writing about business applications, software, and technology * Knowledge of Agile and Scrum workflows Soft Skills  * Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail,and critical thinking * Impeccable time management and effective effort estimation * Continuous learning and upskilling habits and practices Nice-to-Haves  * Technical skills: * basic coding or scripting skills * experience documenting APIs or REST and SOAP web services * basic knowledge in PL/SQL * Familiarity with ML/AI tools in aid of content creation and curation * Previous professional exposure to the insurance or fintech domain WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US * Become part of a fast-growing insurance software vendor with multinational teams across Europe — we have +20 nationalities in our company. * Receive a competitive remuneration package together with great opportunities for personal and professional growth. * A positive company culture built around people's wellbeing. * Work in a dynamic environment with an exceptional team that is always ready to help. * A half-day off the second Friday of the month, so you focus on passion projects, boost your creativity, or spend time with your loved ones. You will be joining as a member of the Storage Team which is responsible for the design, project delivery, and ongoing operation/support of all storage and backup systems within Man group. The Storage team is a team of three engineers. The Platform Engineering Department is a close-knit team of highly skilled individuals comprising Windows, Linux, DBA, and network support. We strive for perfection in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment. While providing a high performance, scalable infrastructure to an agile organisation. We are in the process of transforming our Storage Infrastructure to be more automated, agile, and user driven.
