ABOUT THE ROLE Legora AB is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to play a lead role in shipping high-impact features and building scalable systems. In this senior position, you’ll own delivery of technical solutions from design through production, driving innovation while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Architect, design, and ship new features with a focus on speed, quality, and reliability * Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs and product ideas into robust technical solutions * Lead engineers through the full software development lifecycle—from ideation and scoping to development, release, and ongoing optimization * Champion automation and process improvements that accelerate feature delivery and maintain technical excellence * Ensure code quality, documentation, and compliance standards are met as features move from prototype to release * Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high-trust environment that values rapid delivery WHO YOU ARE * Extensive experience in software engineering, with a history of shipping impactful features in complex systems * Deep understanding of system design, software architecture, and modern development practices * Effective technical leader and mentor who prioritizes feature delivery without sacrificing quality * Exceptional collaborator and communicator, comfortable working across disciplines and with stakeholders at all levels * Advocate for continuous delivery, automation, and process efficiency Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. The role As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer you'll join the founding SRE team in our Head Quarters, sitting within Foundations. You'll own critical services end-to-end and partner across engineering to raise the reliability bar for the entire platform, working closely with teams in Stockholm. *This is a Stockholm -based, 5-day in-office role. We believe building together in person drives better outcomes. What you will be doing: * Build, ship, and operate foundational platform services with full ownership * Build and maintain a high-signal observability stack (metrics, logs, traces) and translate signals into action * Define and evolve SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and reliability reporting for critical systems * Improve on-call and incident response, including escalation paths, coordination, and post-incident follow-ups * Reduce toil through automation, better tooling, and improved system ergonomics * Partner with product and platform engineers to design resilient systems and improve deployment safety Who you are * Significant experience operating and improving production systems, including debugging under pressure and preventing repeat incidents * Comfortable writing software and building automation to solve reliability problems * Autonomous, with pride in the quality and resilience of the systems you ship and operate * A systems thinker: failure modes, graceful degradation, and practical tradeoffs * Strong observability, incident management, and on-call experience, as well as experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. The role As a Senior Software Engineer at Legora you will build, review and ship amazing products helping legal professionals all over the world in their day-to-day job. You’ll get the chance to work across the entire tech stack with clear ownership and autonomy. What you will be doing: * Architect and implement features end-to-end for our web platform * Take ownership of our codebase, balancing high-quality code, security and speed of development * Work with technologies such as React, Node.js, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes * Review code and mentor junior colleagues to support them in their development, making the team even better! * Drive continuous improvement and challenge us, the industry and yourself Who you are * A passionate engineer with a several years of experience building great products using cutting-edge technologies * You feel comfortable working across the entire tech stack, with focus on backend development * You’re autonomous and take pride in the code you write * You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative solutions and think holistically about software architecture * Someone who enjoys being in the office 5 days a week.
