on a newly created and important role within the organization.
About the Role
This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work close to the business, combining regulatory expertise with
day-to-day commercial impact.
You will work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team, supporting the business in navigating regulatory
requirements while enabling continued growth. The role involves monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments, setting clear
internal standards, and ensuring that contracts and processes are aligned with current legislation and best practice.
You will also collaborate with colleagues across the organisation as well as external advisors, regulators and auditors, playing a
key part in maintaining a strong and pragmatic compliance culture.
You will report to the Legal Director for the region, with a dotted line to the local General Manager, and work alongside the Data
Protection Correspondent & Compliance Counsel for Sweden. The position is based at Edenred’s office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm.

As Data Protection & Compliance Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that Edenred Sweden operates in line with applicable regulations, Group standards and industry best practices. Working closely with senior leadership, regional colleagues and business stakeholders, you will help the organisation navigate an evolving regulatory landscape while enabling innovation and responsible business growth. The role combines hands-on privacy and compliance work with strategic advisory responsibilities. You will monitor regulatory developments, define clear internal standards, support the implementation of compliance initiatives and ensure that contracts, processes and governance frameworks remain aligned with legal requirements and business priorities. You will also contribute to the company's broader compliance agenda, including AML, KYC and AI governance, while collaborating with internal teams, external advisors, auditors and regulatory authorities. Through your work, you will help strengthen Edenred's compliance culture, protect customer trust and support the organisation's continued success. You will report to the Legal Director PPS UK, with a dotted line to the Regional Data Protection Correspondent, and work alongside the Regulatory & Compliance Counsel. The position is based at Edenred's office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. Your key responsibilities include the following: Privacy & Compliance * Lead and develop the company's privacy framework, ensuring strong expertise, effective controls and compliance with data protection requirements. * Monitor and assess regulatory developments within privacy, compliance and emerging areas such as AI governance. * Develop and maintain policies, procedures, templates and governance documentation while ensuring effective implementation across the organisation. * Conduct privacy impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments, risk analyses and other compliance reviews where required. * Coordinate the handling of personal data incidents together with relevant stakeholders, in accordance with Group policies and procedures. * Deliver training initiatives and awareness programs to strengthen compliance and privacy understanding across the business. Strategic Collaboration * Partner closely with business stakeholders and regional colleagues to implement the Edenred Group strategy for privacy, AI and compliance. * Act as the local point of contact for data protection matters and coordinate with Group functions on compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements. * Follow up on Group compliance programmes, local roadmaps and governance tools to ensure effective implementation and ongoing compliance. * Support strategic projects where privacy, compliance or regulatory considerations are critical to business success. Commercial & Legal Support * Provide pragmatic legal and compliance guidance to the business on day-to-day matters. * Support procurement activities and supplier-related compliance reviews. * Advise on general legal and regulatory matters as required. * Ensure that basic corporate governance and compliance obligations are fulfilled. Experience and Background We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and qualifications: * A law degree and the ability to independently assess legal and regulatory matters and translate them into practical business guidance. * Significant professional experience within privacy and data protection. * Proven experience analysing compliance and governance processes, identifying gaps and implementing scalable and sustainable solutions. * Experience designing and delivering training initiatives for employees, managers and senior stakeholders. * Experience working in an international and matrix-based environment with a broad range of stakeholders. * Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
