The position is based in OHB Sweden premises in Kista, Stockholm. Your work will include the following engineering and management tasks: • Project EGSE WP lead (cross projects) • EGSE System Engineering and requirements specification, • Documentation and version control of the EGSE’s, • WP manager and design lead, • Tests specifications and test lead (≠ test planning and execution), • Procurement and Production preparation,
Applicants are expected to have expertise / experience in the following areas:
Required qualifications and skills: • Master Level degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, • Fluent in English, • >3-year experience in test equipment design and / or test product responsible, • Experience in device procurement and stock handling, • Experience in work package lead and resource management, • Experience in requirements management software (i.e. DOORS), • Good organizational and planning skills, • Familiarity in EMC, grounding concepts, and isolation, • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.
Advantageous additional qualifications: • Familiarity in electronics design, • Familiarity in electronics housing and cabinet (CAD), • Experience in project management, • Experience in CE Marking or other applicable standards / directives, • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python) mostly for device control, • Familiarity with satellite AIT, • Fluent in Swedish
Interdisciplinary and international team working and ability to work autonomously are key to a for this role. Therefore, we’re looking for a proactive team player who learns quickly, provides technical and project management guidance to colleagues, and can also work independently. We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer with space experience of the complete chain in FEM analysis, and follow-on testing of the manufactured product and satellite systems. Task Description: Having a lead role on mechanical, structural, and dynamic components using FEM, focusing on stress, shock, and random vibration analyses. Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers. Supervise off-site testing of parts and inspect delivered items. Support on-site assembly of end products, such as spacecraft structures. Define and design test specifications, procedures, and setups for subsystem qualification (structures, mechanisms, units, components, actuators). Correlate FE models (e.g., fundamental frequencies, damping coefficients) with actual test results. Assist in planning and budgeting for future programs and projects. Design, assemble, and test mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE) for integration and test activities. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the team. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Space Engineering, or related disciplines. Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and testing environments related to CAD, mechanical FEM analysis, and design. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams and/or groups, driving projects forward. Experience within ESA projects. Good knowledge of the ECSS. Expertise with NASTRAN,Altair, Hypermesh, Optistruct Proficiency in FEM analysis, particularly in random vibration response, shock, and loads analysis. Ability to generate, read, and understand mechanical design/analysis reports and Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Clear and coherent reporting and presentation skills in English. Experience in design-to-manufacture processes. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Located in or willing to relocate to Stockholm, Sweden. Added Advantageous Qualifications: Experience in writing test procedures for vibration and shock. Experience in requirements management and verification. Experience with CREO and/or NX (CAD) and Windchill PLM. Experience working closely with production/MAIT. Experience in GPS (Geometric Product Specifications) drawing production. Knowledge of the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) and experience in the space industry. We are looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. The Role We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for Candelas Manufacturing Engineering team. You will take ownership of the serial production implementation of a multitude of electrical subsystems such as HMI Controls, High Voltage and Low Voltage Distribution, Low Voltage Cabin System, Navigation systems etc. This is a hands-on role — you’ll design processes, plan and document, but also install and test systems yourself. You’ll ensure that systems are robust, serviceable, and seamlessly integrated within Candela’s electric hydrofoiling vessels. This role involves close cross-functional collaboration with Research & Development, Production and Purchasing to turn R&D designs into reliable, Serial producible processes and designs. Your core responsibilities will include: Lead the development of electrical and electronic systems build processes and assembly processes to series- and project-build production readiness. Collaborate closely with Research & Development to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability and long-term production stability. Drive technical evaluations at system level, balancing performance, cost, risk, and production constraints. Develop and review technical documentation such as schematics, work instructions, MBOMs, wiring diagrams, test specifications, and production documentation. Participate in technical reviews, verification activities, risk analyses, and root-cause investigations. Collaborate closely with production to ensure smooth industrialization and continuous improvement of electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
