We are seeking skilled and motivated mechanical engineers to join our team. As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and efficient engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities
Designing and analyzing mechanical systems, components, and machinery
Conducting feasibility studies and providing technical assessments
Using CAE software for modeling and simulation
Collaborating with cross-functional teams for product development
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Good experience in CAD software such as CATIA or SolidWorks as well as other relevant engineering tools, for example FEM or CFD analysis
Familiarity with industrial design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good communication and project management abilities
Currently we are recruiting 2 people, one within test and one within development.
This is a permanent employment. Due to the nature of the employment, relocation in Sweden might be considered during your tenure.

About the Role As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering full lifecycle commissioning services for critical facilities and complex mechanical infrastructure systems. You will support the planning, coordination, execution, testing, and verification of mission-critical mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting and executing commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle. Participating in the MEP design review process. Developing and executing MEP test procedures and operating procedures. Witnessing and verifying static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and technical submittals. Performing site inspections, field observations, and condition surveys. Preparing reports, punch lists, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Supporting troubleshooting activities and resolving technical issues during commissioning. Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, local regulations, and industry standards. Acting as a technical representative for the client while maintaining the highest professional standards. About You We are looking for an experienced and driven professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You bring: A Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years of experience in mechanical commissioning within critical environments. Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of heavy mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of chilled water distribution systems and commercial HVAC systems. Experience with:HVAC cooling systems Chillers and cooling towers AHUs and fan coil units Process water systems and treatment Humidification systems Fuel transfer systems Smoke extraction and pressurization systems Building Management Systems (BMS) SCADA, PLC and EPMS systems Experience interpreting operational data such as temperature and humidity trends. Understanding of communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and Ethernet. Experience working within mission-critical facilities and data center environments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a global team environment. A willingness to travel domestically and internationally as projects require. Interested? Who’ll you’ll get to work with The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer sits in the engineering team within Blykalla, and reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. We are a diverse team that is passionate about our work and Blykalla. Who you are You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity. To succeed in this role, we believe you bring the following: Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 8 or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong focus on 3D CAD and design of large-scale components. Broad mechanical engineering expertise spanning design and manufacturing. Experience working in regulated industries with structured engineering processes, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Fluency in spoken and written English. Considered a merit: Experience from the nuclear industry, including familiarity with nuclear codes and standards (e.g. ASME, RCC) and nuclear quality assurance processes. Experience with FEM simulations and/or thermal or fluid simulations (CFD). Experience with risk assessment methods such as FMEA. Fluency in Swedish.
