*Hybrid Position* Timely and accurately complete the daily functions associated with booking new residential mortgage loans to the bank’s sub-servicer’s loan accounting system. Further support warehouse lending by performing daily functions related to documentation and servicing. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Accurately and efficiently onboard new residential mortgage loans to the appropriate loan accounting system * Review executed loan documents for new residential mortgage loans ensuring accurate completion Responsible for the residential mortgage disbursement process for all portfolio loans, reporting, accounting transactions, and sub-servicer document input. * Responsible for reviewing and setting up all loan specific variable rate interest rate fields, collateral, taxes and insurance records in the proper loan accounting system. * Upload and distribute all sub-servicers daily and monthly reports through the “Move-it” site. * Works to clear up any missing documentation/issues as noted in sub-servicers exception reports within 30 days of closing * Perform daily residential mortgage tasks related to loan closings, reporting, wire transfer processing, loan payoffs and customer communications. * Create customer files for storage in the vault. Work with FCM project team to scan and index all residential mortgage loan documents to the bank’s electronic document storage system. * Adhere to the agreed upon SLAs from third party sub-servicer for loan boarding questions and errors. * Acts as primary liaison in Firstrust’ s partnership with Mortgage Country’s loan mortgage origination process for loans identified as held for investment. * Perform all essential duties related to being the system administrator for MERS including but not limited to primary liaison with MERS, add new users, validate all loan information, review all reports, and perform monthly reconciliation of servicer MIN information. * Performs quarterly attestation of CRMS officers and annual MERS Quality Assurance plan in conjunction with MERS rules. * Participate in testing of boarding processes in loan accounting systems during annual releases and system upgrades. * Maintain a basic knowledge of the various core systems. OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customers/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Keys to success: In order to be successful as a Secondary Market Specialist you must possess these qualifications: * Knowledge of secondary mortgage markets and investor requirements, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), VA, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) programs, as well as mandatory versus best efforts execution strategies. * Knowledge of the mortgage loan life cycle, including origination, pricing, lock management, loan boarding, servicing, escrow administration, accounting interfaces, and loan sale execution. * Knowledge of real estate practices, mortgage lending regulations, and compliance requirements, including government lending programs and TILA‑RESPA (TRID) rules related to changed circumstances and fee tolerances. * Knowledge of loan pricing structures, margin management, and competitive market dynamics, with the ability to analyze investor pricing, competitor rates, fallout trends, and pipeline risk. * Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills to evaluate complex scenarios, pricing exceptions, and risk factors, and to recommend tactical margin or execution adjustments. * High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information, supported by strong organizational and administrative skills. * Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex pricing concepts and market movements to loan officers, management, and external partners. * Proficiency with mortgage and pricing systems and business tools, including Microsoft Office, Optimal Blue, Encompass, or similar pricing and loan origination platforms, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
