Lyten Sweden is seeking a professional Quality Control Technician to join our R&D organization in Västerås. In this role you will be responsible for analysing materials, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products for R&D, production and external suppliers using a wide range of instruments. You will participates in problem solving, technical troubleshooting exercises and technical discussions where needed.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Write the testing plans for materials, incoming parts, product intermediates and finalized products
Perform testing of control plan inspection items using a variety of laboratory instruments
Perform data analysis/interpretation and report according to quality standards
Be able to troubleshoot first of line problems arising on the instruments
Drive method improvements; help update standard operating procedures as needed
Perform regular (daily, weekly, monthly) preventive maintenance on instruments
Become familiar with the fundamentals of quality assurance and quality control principles and relevant quality management system requirements (control plan, non-conformity management, deviation and change management, control samples and control charts, calibration management, ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO17025, etc.)
Adhere to and ensure 5S and safety protocols are maintained within the laboratory work environment
Always work with safety as first priority
Requirements
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor´s degree (or technical school degree) in Chemistry or a technical field is preferred.
Significant relevant previous laboratory and work experience.
Hands-on experience using a set of relevant analytical instruments and measurement equipment.
Experience within a quality control work environment is a plus.
Curious, technically educated, and with an interest in a laboratory career in industry.
Knowledgeable in Lean and six sigma
Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology
Specific skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus
User experience with Office and JIRA software

JOB DESCRIPTION As a Lab Technician, Applications and Fee-for-Service at Moleculent, you will play an important role in supporting customer projects and internal application development studies. Working primarily in the laboratory, you will be responsible for sample handling, assay execution, quality control, and laboratory operations to ensure reliable, reproducible, high-quality data. Over time, you will take on increasing responsibility for independently managing Fee-for-service project workflows and supporting the scale-up of our service operations. Key responsibilities: Prepare for experiments by organizing workspaces, confirming sample lists, and ensuring required consumables and equipment are available. Receive, handle, track, label, and store FFPE tissue samples according to established SOPs. Perform experimental workflows using prepared assay kits and standardized protocols. Execute tissue staining and multiplex in situ assay workflows under established procedures. Perform assay quality control checks and review imaging results for completeness and consistency. Accurately document experimental procedures, reagents, conditions, and results to ensure full traceability. Support troubleshooting activities and contribute to workflow optimization together with Applications and R&D teams. Maintain laboratory readiness through equipment upkeep, reagent inventory management, and general lab organization. Contribute to the expansion and standardization of Fee-for-Service operations . QUALIFICATIONS To fit the role, you hold a BSc in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related life sciences field. Equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered. Fluent written and spoken English is required. You have experience working in a molecular biology, histology, or related laboratory environment. Experience with FFPE sample handling, immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), or similar workflows is highly valuable. You are comfortable working according to structured SOPs and understand the importance of quality documentation and reproducible laboratory processes. Technical skills: Hands-on experience with tissue preparation, staining, microscopy, and reagent preparation. Familiarity with laboratory imaging systems and basic image data handling. Experience with quality control procedures and experimental documentation. Knowledge of laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and chemical safety practices. Ability to follow version-controlled protocols and standardized workflows. As a person, you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results. You enjoy practical laboratory work and are motivated by contributing to scientific excellence. About the position Join Mycronic’s Pattern Generators Division as a Quality Engineer in the Metrology and Process Control group (PMCD). In this role, you will work with process quality, Statistical Process Control, and process optimization for advanced mask manufacturing used in the display and semiconductor industries. You will work close to the cleanroom, process equipment, metrology results, and R&D projects. The work combines data analysis, hands-on cleanroom processing, process tuning, and improvement of process control methods. You will support both daily process stability and new product development, with a focus on making our processes more stable, capable, and repeatable. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Drive and maintain SPC and process control, including monitoring process stability, setting control limits, analyzing trends, and improving process capability. • Work hands-on in the cleanroom with wet chemical and RIE processes, including developing, chrome etching, cleaning, tuning, troubleshooting, and process optimization. • Run and support both automated and manual mask processing, including operating process tools, performing manual process steps, refilling chemicals, and following cleanroom and safety routines. • Plan, run, and evaluate experiments to support R&D activities, including novel product development, process robustness, cleanliness, cleaning performance, and defect reduction. • Analyze process and metrology data to find trends, deviations, root causes, and improvement opportunities. • Support investigations related to yield, process variation, etch performance, uniformity, repeatability, cleanliness, and equipment-related process effects. • Create and improve documentation such as work instructions, process specifications, control plans, test plans, and quality routines. • Work closely with colleagues in process development, metrology, product development, production, system engineering, and quality. It is a merit if you have: • Experience with RIE process development, tuning, troubleshooting, or process control. • Experience from photomask, semiconductor, display, MEMS, or advanced lithography-related manufacturing. • Experience with DOE, process windows, control plans, FMEA, root-cause analysis, or other structured engineering methods. • Experience using metrology data to understand and improve process performance. • Experience with cleanliness, cleaning processes, particle control, contamination analysis, or defect reduction. • Knowledge of chrome, quartz, glass, resist, or other materials used in mask manufacturing. • Experience supporting R&D projects or transferring processes from development into stable operation.
