Om rollen Vi söker en Senior Java Backend Developer som vill ta en nyckelroll i utvecklingsteamet. Du arbetar nära andra utvecklare, DevOps och produktteam för att vidareutveckla en komplex och affärskritisk plattform. Rollen passar dig som trivs i en senior, hands-on roll med stort tekniskt ansvar. Du designar och bygger backend-tjänster i Java och Spring Boot, arbetar med event-driven kommunikation via Kafka och bidrar till arkitekturbeslut i nära samarbete med teamet. Du blir en del av ett utvecklingsteam på 16 personer med låg byråkrati, hög teknisk höjd och stark kultur – "frihet under ansvar" i praktiken. About the team – Mobile Experience The team is located at Lindholmen in Gothenburg and focuses on customer-centric functions within the connected experience of the vehicles. They develop the full stack for remote functions in the app, such as remote climatization via phone or smartwatch to ensure a warm and comfortable car. They also enable both customers and third parties to interact with the vehicles, supporting use cases like smart charging and fleet management. What the role involves In this role, the candidate will be part of a highly skilled agile team developing cloud software. The primary focus is on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining parts of the next-generation cloud backend for remote vehicle functions. The work is closely connected to the vehicles within the cloud ecosystem, using modern tools, microservices, and new technologies. About the role We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) for backend works in our product engineering team with systems / services development for the Qbtech platform. Primary implementation languages are Java & Kotlin. The main focus of the work is coding (development) but an SSE works with the entire software delivery lifecycle. The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden and will report to Engineering Manager.  There is no possibility of a complete remote role. This is Hybrid with at least 3 days a week from office. Essential Duties and responsibilities Qbtech’s development of products and services are controlled by Qbtech Quality Management Systems, international standards and certificates as well as specific laws. In accordance with those, essential duties and responsibilities are: Develop and document new product features & stories. Code reviews for peers. Maintain and improve legacy code. Manage DevOps and cloud infrastructure provisioning. Manage software deployment. Troubleshooting/investigation of incidents and bug fixing. We are looking for someone who has Extensive development skills using Java and Kotlin. Strong problem-solving mentality. Knowledge of the Ktor framework. Knowledge of at least one well known test framework such as Junit. Good knowledge of network infrastructure related to web application (examples: load balancer, firewall, security groups, CDN etc.). Experience of working with service provisioning for at least one of the following cloud services platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure). Experience of an infrastructure as code (Terraform). Experience with containerization (Docker). Experience from working with Agile development methodologies. Excellent written and verbal skills. At least 6-8 years documented experience.
