As a Gameplay AI / ML Engineer at Embark, you will be working on ARC Raiders, alongside some of the most talented people in the games industry. We believe that great games are made in creative environments, where builds are always playable, and teams can move fast and test as many ideas as possible. In close collaboration with our designers, you will create easy-to-use systems that enable us to iterate quickly and that encourage experimentation. Our AI team consists of a set of gameplay engineers, working on "classic" gameplay AI, and a set of Gameplay / ML engineers that further expand our tech in what is possible to achieve in AI for games. In this role you will work closely with both our ML team and Gameplay AI team, training, building, innovating and researching new tech that can further advance our emergent AI experience in ARC Raiders. Example of responsibilities  Work closely with stakeholders and game teams to prototype new RL locomotion platforms Research, develop, and train RL models Provide model performance analyses and visualizations Improving our game-side training framework to make it easier to train, create and debug our models and platforms. Look for opportunities to apply new tech in gameplay AI to promote more emergent gameplay Stay current with new research and share that knowledge with the rest of the team We would love if you have A creative and curious mind A strong C++ background Experience in Unreal Engine A strong background in gameplay engineering Can speak "design" Professional English communication skills. You'll work fullstack, from database to frontend, while sharing ownership of the AWS environment and the systems our customers depend on. Alongside two colleagues, you'll have access to production servers and the systems that keep Bryntum running. We need someone who is thorough, dependable, and takes pride in doing things properly. The role covers everything from building and maintaining internal tools, customer zone and back-office systems, to driving our cloud journey forward. We need someone who is comfortable moving across the stack and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves on whatever needs attention. Whether that's writing application code, scripting automation or shaping our deployment setup. We're in the middle of a maturity journey: moving towards AWS, consolidating infrastructure and replacing ad hoc solutions with more robust setups. You'll be part of shaping that transition alongside your colleagues, with real ownership over the decisions you make What we're looking for * 8+ years of experience as a fullstack engineer with strong exposure to DevOps, platform or infrastructure work * Comfortable across the stack – from server and database to frontend * Solid experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure * Strong scripting and automation skills, Node.js and Bash in particular * Experience with GitHub * Experience managing virtual server environments * A methodical, detail-oriented approach, this is a trust role with access to production Meritorious What matters is that you're not afraid of new technology and can get up to speed quickly. Experience using AI tools like Claude Code for scripting, debugging or operational workflows is a big plus. We’re interested in people who actively use modern tools to move faster and reduce manual work. Fluent English is a requirement, Swedish is a plus.
