We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist
What You Will Work On
Administer, operate, and enhance enterprise server and infrastructure environments
Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, storage systems, and enterprise applications
Administer and support Linux environments, primarily Ubuntu and Red Hat
Plan and execute server upgrades, patch management, and security hardening
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, server, storage, and network issues
Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices
Collaborate with project teams on infrastructure implementations and upgrades
Provide technical support and infrastructure guidance to internal stakeholders
Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure
Support infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
Extensive experience administering Windows Server environments
Strong experience with Active Directory, server administration, storage, and enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with Linux platforms, particularly Ubuntu and Red Hat
Experience with infrastructure operations, patch management, and security hardening
Strong troubleshooting skills across server, storage, and network environments
Experience documenting technical solutions, infrastructure configurations, and operational processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

You will also interact with external parties such as infrastructure hardware and software vendors, managed service providers, datacenter and cloud partners, and external consultants. Responsibilities In this role, you will be a key contributor to strengthening and developing Knightec Group’s core IT landscape. You will act as a subject matter expert and 3rd line escalation point, while also taking part and in cases drive strategic infrastructure initiatives that improve resilience, reduce complexity, and position the business for a fast-paced future. Strong experience with virtualisation (e.g. VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, HyperV). Strong experience in networking (firewalls, switching, routing, micro segmentation, WiFi and related hardware). Strong experience with system administration in Windows Server and Linux (e.g. installation, patching, web servers, hardening, logging). Solid experience with Identity management (e.g. AD, EntraID, IAM, RBAC, SSO, User provisioning, PIM, PAM, Access tiering). Experience in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. A strong automation mindset and experience improving operational efficiency through scripting, standardization, or infrastructure-as-code approaches. Experience with both infrastructure and system monitoring. A structured and security-focused way of working, with sound judgement in change management and access control. The ability to document clearly, communicate effectively, and collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups. Fluency in English, written and spoken. Nice to Have Swedish is highly meritorious. Experience in the professional service industry, e.g. working as a consultant. Experience with any type of coding. Experience working in an international IT environment. Experience working with Azure and/or AWS in hybrid enterprise environments. Perform Active Directory domain migrations and user migrations. Replace, configure, deploy, and support Windows laptops for end users. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise devices. Support Microsoft 365 services and enterprise workplace technologies. Manage endpoint deployment and administration using Intune, SCCM, Microsoft Autopilot, or similar solutions. Provide technical support for LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, meeting rooms, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot user access issues, permissions, MFA, Single Sign-On (SSO), and corporate applications. Support onboarding activities for new ERP, business, and corporate systems. Work within structured ITSM processes using platforms such as ServiceNow. Produce and maintain technical documentation and support change management activities. Collaborate with local users, global IT teams, and project stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle. Support IT operations across office, laboratory, and light manufacturing environments. Ensure stable, secure, and efficient workplace IT services during migration and transition activities. What You Bring Senior-level experience in IT infrastructure and enterprise IT operations. Proven experience with Active Directory, domain migrations, and user migration projects. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10, Windows 11, and enterprise desktop environments. Experience with laptop replacement, client deployment, installation, configuration, and end-user support. Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Microsoft Autopilot, or equivalent. Good understanding of enterprise networking, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, meeting room technology, and peripheral devices. Experience troubleshooting authentication, permissions, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and enterprise applications. Experience supporting onboarding and migration to ERP, business, or corporate systems. Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and structured incident, request, and change management processes. Strong documentation skills and understanding of IT change management. Experience from Life Science, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English. Self-driven, hands-on, and comfortable working directly with end users as well as global IT teams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.
