At Swish, our people are at the heart of everything we do.   About the Role:    The Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering timely, high-quality equipment service. This includes diagnostics and troubleshooting, emergency repairs, planned preventative maintenance, pre- and post-delivery inspections, customer training, and general technical support related to equipment performance and care.    In addition to powered cleaning equipment, the Service Technician services and supports Kitchen, Laundry, and Food Processing (KLFP) systems and is responsible for the installation and maintenance of chemical dispensing equipment. This includes configuring, calibrating, and ensuring proper operation to meet customer requirements and safety standards.   As a frontline representative of the company, the Service Technician builds strong customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical expertise. Through high-quality workmanship and attention to detail, the Service Technician ensures equipment is properly serviced, maintained, and ready to perform when customers need it most.   Key Responsibilities:    * Maintain, diagnose, and service commercial cleaning equipment such as power washers, floor scrubbers, and small engines in both the workshop and on customer property * Service and support Kitchen, Laundry, and Food Processing systems, ensuring proper operation and chemical performance * Install, configure, and maintain chemical dispensing systems in customer facilities * Perform preventative maintenance and system calibrations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards * Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and equipment * Care for, maintain, and stock the service van * Efficiently manage and complete scheduled service calls based on established procedures * Assist the Sales and Management teams with equipment demonstrations and rentals * Keep accurate records of billable hours spent on in-house or on-site service calls * Promote and support Planned Maintenance Agreements to reduce customer downtime * Respond to after-hours or weekend emergency service calls as required   What You Bring:   * High School diploma or equivalent * Acceptable Driver’s Abstract and valid Driver’s License (Class G)  * Ability to read and understand product manuals, diagrams, and schematics * Strong organizational skills and clerical abilities for the maintenance of parts inventory * Strong computer skills in order to log calls, billable hours, and place orders for parts * Interpersonal skills to communicate with customers, staff, and suppliers in a pleasant and professional manner * Acquired technical or mechanical knowledge or aptitude, such as experience working with electronics, appliances, small engines, or automotive repair would be an asset * Willingness to learn new skills from our experienced team   Job Details & What We Offer   A people-first company * Membership in the Swish family — we treat our employees with integrity and have since 1956   The role * Location: Oakville, Ontario  * Salary range: $50,000 to $65,000 (based on skills and experience) * Variable compensation: Annual performance bonus eligibility * Vacation: Starting at 3 weeks * Company vehicle and gas card for business use    Benefits from Day 1 * Company-paid Extended Health & Dental Care * Company contributions to a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) * Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)   Extras that matter * Rewards & Recognition program that celebrates great work and meaningful contributions * Access to hundreds of employee discounts across home, wellness, travel, fashion, and more * Unlimited training and development with an industry-leading brand to help you grow your career   Role Information:  Existing Vacancy

Service technician for Marine Jet Power We are actively searching for a service technician who will not only be apart of the Swedish team, but also the global Marine Jet Power Family. The position will work with commissioning-, service- and maintenance of Waterjet propulsion systems at the client. The expectations are high on the level of professionalism as well as the quality of conducted work. In order to live up to the expectations we believe that you have experience from working with electronics, controls, hydraulics or mechanics. More precisely, MJPs controls are integrated to various interfaces and systems (GPS, interceptors, firepumps etc) varying on delivery. Our controls are typically PLC-based with discrete I/O as well as bus. We are in search of a person who sees the position with a long term perspective. The introduction program is substantial, and you will be supported from backoffice as well as fellow service technichians when out at clients. Want to come onboard? We look forward to your application. The scope of work • Troubleshooting and repairs of waterjet propulsion units within the disciplines electrical, mechanical, hydraulics. The work is conducted on vessels ranging from small boats to +100ton ships in different customer segments. •Service and maintenance of waterjets according to order •Installation support, installation check, commission and seatrials of delivered projects. •Pre-docking inspections and assessments and propositions on maintenance and spareparts. •Customer contact with shipyard and owners regarding planned repairs and work carried out •Documentation of works (i.e servicereports) •Varying with the customer needs, technical support, training and test of control systems Qualifications • Experience in electronics, hydraulics and mechanics. You are willing to develop your skills in these areas • Experience from documenting your work in servicereports • English, other languages are considered a merit • Driving licence • We believe you have at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
