As a Senior Software Engineer on the Front of House web team, you’ll build and improve the software that restaurant staff use to run service in real time. The team’s work spans critical operational workflows across reservations and related Front of House experiences, including areas such as seating, timeline, reservation editing, waitlist workflows, and in-house reservation management. You’ll work on a modern frontend stack centered on JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and a strong automated testing toolkit including React Testing Library, Jest, and Cypress. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys complex product domains, values clean and maintainable code, and can help drive projects from technical planning through production rollout. REQUIREMENTS * You are humble and enjoy working with developers, designers and product owners of all career levels * You have 5 or more years of full-time professional experience as a software developer in a team environment, including extensive experience with React * You have strong communication skills, especially the ability to represent the technical trade-offs between different potential solutions  * You can drive projects from technical planning all the way to production * You write code that is readable and maintainable. You create abstractions and find opportunities for code reuse. * You carefully test your work for bugs while ensuring consistency with requirements and designs. You also build automated tests and understand how to use them properly. * You have experience implementing designs and collaborating with designers using tools like Figma * You are comfortable providing feedback to others via a code review process, and receiving feedback others have provided to you via this process * You adopt AI technologies to enhance your workflow, while also taking ownership of the results produced by these technologies and carefully checking them for accuracy. About the Job As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the core backend systems powering the OpenTable for Restaurants platform, directly impacting real-time reservation availability and data synchronization across global surfaces. Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain high-scale backend systems to compute real-time table availability and reservation workflows. * Drive product features and technical infrastructure upgrades from early planning phases all the way to production deployment. * Build and optimize microservices architectures to support multi-data-center scalability and real-time data synchronization. * Collaborate closely with team members through architectural design debates, thorough code reviews, and pair programming. * Uphold system reliability and uptime standards by embedding rigorous automated testing into the development lifecycle. * Adopt and leverage emerging AI technologies to enhance workflows while taking full responsibility for verifying output accuracy. Minimum Qualifications * 5 or more years of full-time professional software development experience working within a team environment. * Proficiency in C# along with expertise in object-oriented programming and common design patterns. * Extensive professional experience working with microservices, multithreading, and databases (SQL or NoSQL). * Demonstrated ability to write readable, maintainable code covered by robust automated tests. * Strong communication skills.
