ABOUT THE TEAM As a part of the Connect Design team, you'll lead product development for the largest complex users on Stripe—marketplaces such as Doordash and Lyft, and platforms such as Shopify and Woo. You'll drive the vision for how these marketplaces and platforms manage risk and compliance for their business and their users in the US and internationally. You'll work with other designers on the team to define the future of the experience for all Connect users on the dashboard. You'll utilize a broad set of product design skills including user interface design, user experience and interaction design, and prototyping. In this role, you'll be responsible for deeply understanding our users and product strategy to design and advocate for the highest quality product experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a part of the Connect Design team, you’ll lead product development for Stripe’s largest complex users Marketplaces such as Doordash and Lyft, and Platforms such as Shopify and Woo. RESPONSIBILITIES * Own the end-to-end product design process from discovery through delivery * Ship meaningful, high-quality experiences that balance business needs with usability * Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to shape the team's roadmap and goals from an impactful and measurable customer outcomes perspective * Leverage insights from our UXR team to identify opportunity areas, and to validate potential solutions to pain points * Partner with content design to craft compelling experiences that deliver the right information at the right time to the right user * Work closely with other product designers to drive holistic solutions for our marketplaces and platforms and their users  WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Has 6+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company * Has experience working in a complex problem space such as B2B or SaaS interfaces * A portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals and polished UI craft * Experience partnering closely with cross-functional teams to shape product direction and proven ability to influence teams * Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and multiple stakeholder inputs * Experience working horizontally across product areas on ambiguous and complex problems  * Confident presenting work to company leadership and skilled at communicating design decisions through a clear and compelling story PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work * Care about details and are excited to keep pushing your work until it is pixel-perfect * Value working with a diverse group of people with different perspectives and expertise * Love working with other designers to help them learn and grow—and have them help you learn and grow * Are committed to building a sustainable and scalable business by balancing user and business needs

ABOUT THE TEAM You'll work closely with several teams of engineers and PMs to shape products used by Stripe employees across engineering, operations, finance, and beyond. This is a high-impact role for a designer who finds as much satisfaction in untangling complex workflows and dense information architectures as in crafting polished interfaces. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll take ownership of two spaces within our internal tooling portfolio—Developer Productivity, focused on ensuring every engineer at Stripe has the tools to be productive, and Collaboration, focused on knowledge discovery and communication at scale. You'll pair with an existing designer on the team to bring design quality and consistency to surfaces that are critical to how Stripe operates internally. RESPONSIBILITIES * Own end-to-end design for a portfolio of internal tools—from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, prototyping, and implementation support * Partner with engineering and product managers to define product requirements and translate them into clear, usable, and well-considered design solutions * Conduct lightweight research and usability sessions with internal users to validate decisions and surface unmet needs * Contribute to a consistent design language across our internal tools suite, working in close coordination with the Sail Design team and the Stripe design system * Make design trade-offs confidently, knowing when to go deep on craft and when to ship a pragmatic solution that moves the product forward * Help raise the bar for internal product design at Stripe, advocating for users who are often underserved compared to customer-facing surfaces WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, clear visual craft, and an ability to navigate ambiguity * Experience designing tools for complex or data-heavy workflows—internal tools, developer tools, ops platforms, or similar are a strong plus * Comfortable working across the full design process—you can lead discovery, write a problem brief, design and prototype, and ship without needing every step handed to you * Strong systems thinker—you naturally look for patterns, reusable components, and structural solutions rather than one-off fixes * Collaborative and direct communicator. You share work early, give and receive feedback well, and know how to align cross-functional stakeholders * Proficient in Figma and comfortable working within or alongside a design system PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience designing for internal-facing or enterprise tooling environments * You've contributed to a design system, or worked closely to a design systems team * Exposure to information architecture challenges—navigation, search, and content modeling * Background in or interest in developer tooling, ops platforms, or workflow automation

ABOUT THE TEAM The Product Design team is made up of several groups that define, create, and deliver all user-facing aspects of Stripe’s brand and product. Product Designers are strategic partners to Engineering and Product Management within their product area. In close collaboration with product teams, they shape user experiences, then translate them into high-quality designs that can be tested, shipped, and refined. Designers are responsible for building elegant, functional products that users love—and want to tell others about. The Terminal design team crafts product experiences that empower users to configure and manage in person payments. This team transforms the intricate world of payments into intuitive solutions, letting users focus on growing their businesses. The team spans hardware and software, focusing on many types of users: end users who pay at the point of sale, cashiers and operations managers who set up and run the devices, and merchants who manage a fleet of devices and need to monitor performance. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a product designer, you’ll work closely with the product manager and engineering team to envision payments features in the Stripe Dashboard and our end-user-facing surfaces and partner with go-to-market teams to bring them to users. That includes new feature development, product quality improvements to our most frequently used workflows, and setting vision for our products to meet new user expectations in an increasingly data and AI-driven world. RESPONSIBILITIES * Understand user workflows and pain points, and produce, test, and iterate on high-quality designs to solve user needs * Partner closely with product, engineering, marketing, and strategy partners to define a north star and product experience for new features * Prototype user experiences for user research testing and internal communication * Collaborate with teams across Stripe to craft a seamless dashboard user experience * Conduct user research to test design decisions before shipping * Collaborate with our design systems teams to leverage and improve page templates and components WHO YOU ARE We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
