HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
The purpose of the HVDC Cybersecurity function team is to ensure and improve a high level of cybersecurity across HVDC, in our projects and service agreements. We are responsible for Cybersecurity outreach and awareness to our internal and external stakeholder groups across HVDC and for our strategic cybersecurity initiatives, including the Cybersecurity Certification program (IEC 62443 & others), organizational compliance programs, and cybersecurity projects.

How you´ll make an impact
Together with the team you will focus on continually improving HVDCs cybersecurity posture and offerings and advancing the implementation of the cybersecurity strategy.
You will support many projects in parallel and you will, with the support of the cybersecurity team, help the projects to streamline the cybersecurity solutions.
Help with implementation of cybersecurity tools, running them and analyzing the results.
Be a part of the development of the HVDC Cybersecurity team.
Your background
Bachelor in computer science, IT- or OT-security or equivalent
You have 6 years of working experience from the IT-, OT or information security field, preferably from the industry sector.
You are skilled in the 62443 framework.
Knowledge of the ISO 27001 standard, and/or knowledge of the NIS-directive.
You are an engaged person who thrives in a constantly changing environment and enjoys collaboration with employees, peers and beyond.
Proficiency and fluency in English is required since you will be part of an international setting.

The opportunity For this position, we are looking for a collaborative, teamwork-oriented manager with a strong interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to share experience and guidance. At HVDC our Cybersecurity function is split into two teams. You will be heading the Engineering part of the Cybersecurity function with our Project Cybersecurity Leads, Engineers and Risk Assessment Engineers. They are deeply involved in project execution, tendering and other various development activities. Your task is to support, guide, strengthen and empower the team and you will work with other managers across HVDC to ensure the right and relevant tasks and Divisions of Work for the team Your Responsibilities Support the team in their day-to-day activities. Ensure relevant involvement in all projects at HVDC (Customer and R&D). Ensure the team has all the tools and applications needed to support the tasks. Participating in Project Reviews were necessary. As Cybersecurity Engineering manager you will be able to answer most questions regarding Technology, best-practice, Laws, Standards and Directives. For ongoing tenders, you will be involved in contractual and legal discussions for cybersecurity related questions together with our contract managers and legal specialists and counsels. Your background You have documented experience from leading positions such as team leader and/or Project Management. Knowledge of one or more critical infrastructure regulations such as NIS/NIS2, NERC-CIP. Knowledge regarding one or more protective security laws such as the Swedish Protective Security Act, National Security Act (UK) and more.
