About the Role You will step into a central role at a global company in robotics and industrial automation, where new products need to move from development into stable and efficient production. The focus is on industrialization and product transfers between global sites, which means you will help ensure that manufacturing processes, tools, and systems are ready to support new products from day one. The environment is technically broad and highly cross-functional. The projects span large parts of the factory flow, including external and internal logistics, assembly, painting, testing and verification, and quality assurance. You will work closely with stakeholders across production, planning, R&D, purchasing, suppliers, and other sub-projects. Job DescriptionYou will lead projects within the factory linked to the introduction of new products in production. You will coordinate and distribute work across cross-functional project teams made up of specialists from different technical areas. You will drive dialogue with sub-projects, the line organization, suppliers, and global stakeholders. You will ensure that internal processes, tools, and systems can support manufacturing of new products. You will drive activities related to product transfers between global production sites. You will work across the full manufacturing flow, including logistics, assembly, painting, testing, verification, and quality assurance. You will manage several ongoing projects in parallel and help create clear direction, follow-up, and collaboration across the organization. RequirementsExperience leading cross-functional projects in a factory, production, or industrial environment. Experience with industrialization, new product introduction, or transfer of products between production sites. Ability to coordinate stakeholders across planning, R&D, purchasing, production, suppliers, and line organization. Good understanding of manufacturing flows and the interfaces between logistics, assembly, testing, verification, and quality assurance. Ability to create structure, drive progress, and manage several ongoing projects in a complex environment. Comfort working in an international setting with both local and global contacts. In this role, you work close to production and turn improvement needs into practical methods, tools, and support that strengthen health and safety, quality, and delivery. You will be part of Production Engineering Assembly, where you collaborate with line managers, technicians, operators, and other support functions. The work combines daily operational support with longer-term process development, giving you a central role in how assembly methods are designed, improved, and implemented. Job DescriptionYou will develop and improve assembly processes and methods for current production and new line setups. You will work closely with line technicians, operators, and support functions in the daily operation. You will drive problem solving and analysis to support health and safety, quality, and delivery targets. You will develop assembly instructions and PFMEA for the production flow. You will ensure the right tools and equipment are available at the right station and meet operational requirements. You will take part in weekly follow-ups with line managers and support functions to align on priorities and progress. You will contribute to continuous improvements in processes and ways of working within Production Engineering Assembly. About the Role You will step into a key role in a highly automated production environment where stable paint processes, safe operation, and efficient flow are business-critical. As the technical expert within paint automation, you will work close to operations and help strengthen the automation capability across the factory. This is a hands-on role with a strong development angle. You will support daily production while also improving existing automation solutions, contributing to industrialization work, and helping shape a more advanced automation landscape. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering, which gives you broad influence and a clear connection between your technical decisions and real-world results. You will monitor line performance and ensure root cause analysis is carried out for automation-related issues. You will support production in prioritization and help maintain an efficient production flow. You will specify, manage, and implement changes in existing paint automation equipment. You will support the implementation of new and modified automation solutions. You will contribute to concept studies and industrialization projects. You will drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and internal requirements for automation cells. You will develop, maintain, and optimize paint automation programs. You will support line balancing and flow optimization. You will lead and coordinate smaller activities or teams when needed. You will share knowledge and help develop competence within the organization. RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of automated production systems and industrial automation. Experience from manufacturing environments. Experience in robot programming and automation systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to root cause analysis. Ability to troubleshoot automation, process, and mechanical issues in complex environments. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic production setting. Good understanding of safety standards for automated systems and paint environments. Fluency in English. Nice to havePractical experience from automated paint shops, especially wet paint applications in serial production. Experience with ABB IRB 5500 paint robots. Knowledge of multi-layer paint processes such as primer and topcoat. Understanding of high-pressure 2K paint systems. Experience with paint equipment such as spray guns, pumps, dosing systems, and flushing systems. Experience working in ATEX-classified environments. Knowledge of pneumatic systems and components. Experience optimizing paint processes, including coverage, thickness, efficiency, and surface quality. Ability to identify and resolve paint quality issues such as orange peel, runs, overspray, and uneven thickness. Swedish language skills.
