Lyten Sweden is seeking professional Senior Test & Validation Engineers. As a Senior Test & Validation Engineer you will plan, organize, execute, and follow up on project-related testing and provide leadership and oversight to the team. Lead performing and developing tests together with the team which concerns the battery’s performance, reliability, and safety. Own responsibility of test facility related to its operation, installation and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Develop and lead product testing procedures based on the customer requirements of development projects and Quality Control (QC) standards. Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of test equipment necessary for product testing. Ensure the implementation of robust quality assurance processes to uphold the accuracy and reliability of test results. Analyze test results and prepare formal/informal test report to present to internal/external stakeholders. Ensure delivery of the project activities regarding validation requirements. Oversee the documentation of test procedures, observations, and results, ensuring compliance with established document management standards. Lead technical work streams related to the installation and commissioning of equipment for test expansion projects. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor or above degree within Electrochemical, Material, Electrical or Mechanical field or equal comparable work experience More than 3 years of experience from the development and testing of secondary batteries, lithium-ion based technologies Excellent communication skills as you will be in constant interaction with international customers and team members from both the technical and business development side Knowledge of FMEA, FTA, 6 Sigma concepts, and problem-solving methodologies will be an added advantage. Familiar with international test standards, e.g., IEC/ES, UL, CSA, Marine, etc. Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations Recognize the risk of cell/battery development and production Good knowledge in test design, setup and facility operation Confident in data analysis and presentation Specific skills Excellent English is written and oral skills Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously Highly organized and results-driven, adept at overseeing complex testing projects and managing resources effectively. The Principal Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for defining, scaling, and optimizing manufacturing processes across one or multiple process areas. This role provides strategic direction, technical authority, and mentorship while driving the process development of next-generation battery technology. The Principal Engineer leads complex, high-impact initiatives from concept through industrialization, including process design, equipment strategy, and factory integration. Acting as a key interface between R&D, operations, quality, and external partners, the role ensures robust, scalable, and cost-efficient manufacturing solutions that support production ramp-up and long-term operational excellence. In addition to hands-on technical contribution, the Principal Engineer establishes engineering standards, drives cross-site alignment, and shapes the technology roadmap for manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Strategy Define and own process technology strategy and roadmap for assigned manufacturing areas. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and technical authority across multiple process domains. Establish engineering standards, best practices, and design guidelines across the organization. Drive alignment between R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure scalable process development. Process & Equipment Development Lead the development of advanced process and equipment specifications for new and existing manufacturing systems. Equipment Lifecycle Management Provide leadership and governance for installation, commissioning, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of manufacturing equipment. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Identify and lead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Troubleshooting & Advanced Problem Solving Lead complex root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, including 8D and A3 methodologies, for critical process or equipment failures. Governance & Documentation Approve and govern process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and equipment documentation. Specific skills Hands-on experience with electrochemical testing (charge/discharge, EIS, CV). Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Origin, Python preferred). Familiarity with material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, ICP). Understanding of laboratory QA/QC principles. Ability to follow established test protocols with precision and consistency.
