Lyten Sweden is seeking professional Senior Test & Validation Engineers. As a Senior Test & Validation Engineer you will plan, organize, execute, and follow up on project-related testing and provide leadership and oversight to the team. Lead performing and developing tests together with the team which concerns the battery’s performance, reliability, and safety. Own responsibility of test facility related to its operation, installation and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Develop and lead product testing procedures based on the customer requirements of development projects and Quality Control (QC) standards.
Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of test equipment necessary for product testing.
Ensure the implementation of robust quality assurance processes to uphold the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Analyze test results and prepare formal/informal test report to present to internal/external stakeholders.
Ensure delivery of the project activities regarding validation requirements.
Oversee the documentation of test procedures, observations, and results, ensuring compliance with established document management standards.
Lead technical work streams related to the installation and commissioning of equipment for test expansion projects.
Develop relevant new test methodology and equipment mainly on cell scale
Provide technical expertise, guidance and training our associate engineers and technicians
Lead continuous improvement & problem-solving initiatives aimed at enhancing testing methodologies, processes, and workflows.
Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between customers and Lyten's internal stakeholders
Help the team to perform and innovate
Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor or above degree within Electrochemical, Material, Electrical or Mechanical field or equal comparable work experience
More than 3 years of experience from the development and testing of secondary batteries, lithium-ion based technologies
Excellent communication skills as you will be in constant interaction with international customers and team members from both the technical and business development side
Knowledge of FMEA, FTA, 6 Sigma concepts, and problem-solving methodologies will be an added advantage.
Familiar with international test standards, e.g., IEC/ES, UL, CSA, Marine, etc.
Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations
Recognize the risk of cell/battery development and production
Good knowledge in test design, setup and facility operation
Confident in data analysis and presentation
Specific skills
Excellent English is written and oral skills
Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously
Highly organized and results-driven, adept at overseeing complex testing projects and managing resources effectively.

The position focuses on supporting the development, optimization, and validation of materials and components to ensure reliable performance in both commercial and R&D cell projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct material characterization, electrochemical testing, and performance evaluation of Li battery cells and related components. Analyze test data to assess material behaviours, degradation mechanisms, and cell performance trends. Support design and process optimization efforts to improve cell performance, safety, and manufacturability. Perform failure analysis to identify root causes of performance deviations and propose corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including cell design, process, and quality groups—to ensure consistent material evaluation standards and test methodologies. Prepare technical documentation, data summaries, and reports to support engineering decisions and project reviews. Stay informed on advancements in Li battery materials, analysis techniques, and relevant industry standards. Execute assigned evaluation and analysis tasks in consultation with senior engineers and contribute to achieving project milestones. Qualifications and Experience BSc or MSc in Chemical/Material/Electrical Engineering, and Chemistry. Experience and good understanding in evaluation, testing, or analysis of Li battery cells or related materials. Proficiency in analytical and electrochemical testing methods (e.g., EIS, charge/discharge cycling, material characterization). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data integrity and reproducibility. Effective communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary R&D environment. Specific skills Hands-on experience with electrochemical testing (charge/discharge, EIS, CV). Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Origin, Python preferred). Familiarity with material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, ICP). Understanding of laboratory QA/QC principles. Ability to follow established test protocols with precision and consistency. The Data Engineer role exists to ensure that all test‑lab data is trustworthy, accessible, scalable, and usable for engineering, validation, analytics, and decision‑making. The function provides the technical backbone that enables reliable testing, advanced analysis, automation, and long‑term product improvement. The Data Engineer is responsible for designing and operating the data infrastructure that supports all laboratory test activities. This includes connecting test equipment, building pipelines for high‑frequency and large‑volume datasets, ensuring data quality, and enabling engineers, analysts, and scientists to work efficiently with accurate data. As the laboratory and organization expand, the role will evolve into a leadership function that guides the long‑term data strategy and leads a multidisciplinary data team. Erfarenhet av att planera och genomföra Pre-FAT, FAT, Pre-SAT och SAT. God kunskap inom elektriska system, HV-produkter och tillhörande kommunikationsprotokoll för stationer. Förmåga att läsa och tolka elkretsscheman och teknisk dokumentation. Erfarenhet av felsökning, problemlösning och tekniskt stöd under commissioningfasen.
