About the role
In this role you will join a technically skilled team responsible for final testing and verification of customized control cabinets used in excitation systems before they are delivered to customers. You will work in a hands-on, problem-solving environment where electrical testing, measurement, and software validation are key parts of the daily work. The position includes close interaction with international customers who visit the site to participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), giving you both technical and customer-facing responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Carry out final testing of control cabinets for excitation systems, including electrical connections, measurements, and verification of PLC and protection relay functionality
Perform troubleshooting and identify both electrical faults and software-related issues in control systems
Collaborate closely with design engineers, production teams, and visiting customers during test and verification activities
Contribute actively to continuous improvement work and safety initiatives within the department
Ensure documentation of test results and maintain high quality standards throughout the testing process
Requirements for the job
Experience in testing or commissioning electrical equipment, including control cabinets or test systems, preferably with education in electrical power engineering, automation, or control systems.
Good understanding of PLC programming, electrical schematics, and control systems.
Hands-on experience with cable routing, adjustment, and troubleshooting of electrical control cabinets, as well as knowledge of electrical measurement methods.
Good command of English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Nice to have
Experience with signal generator systems such as FREJA/Sverker
Knowledge of motor control principles, such as start/stop functions, frequency control, and protection relay systems

Job Scope Lyten is seeking a Production Engineer with a specialization in automated industrial (battery) productions. As a Production Engineer (Pilot Production) you will stabilize, scale, and continuously improve pilot‑line processes that span electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, and formation & aging. Your mission is to translate cell designs and lab recipes into robust, traceable processes ready for industrialization at Northvolt gigafactories. You will work closely together with production, process, quality, and automation engineers to make sure the production process is achieving the required stability and is ready for transfer to gigafactory scale. You will ensure process and equipment meet availability and reliability and resolve production issues with a sense of urgency. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) · Own pilot-line selected production steps across Wet- and Dry Electrode, Assembly and Formation & Aging processes. Defining, monitoring and improving Operation Parameter Ranges and control windows fit for the Labs pilot productions. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define production system requirements, select suitable hardware and software, and create robust solutions for production lines. · Follow data-driven production control methods, implementing SPC on CtQs and MSAs to ensure capability prior to scale-up. · Together with IT and Automation teams implement the necessary dashboards for OEE, FPY, scrap, downtime with Pareto’s and trends to facilitate progress tracking and root cause analysis. · Prepare and maintain Process Flow, PFMEA and work instructions as preparation for pilot productions. · Partner with Safety & Environment to validate process changes against standard requirements. · Own root-cause analysis on equipment and process performance improvements during A- and B-sample productions, following structured RCA methods. · Work hands-on with Cell Design, Materials, Maintenance & Automation, Supply chain and Operations on fast learning cycles and problem solving to increase production process maturity. · Review Engineering Design Documentation (Specifications, Design manufacturability). · Support and collaborate with project teams to select the most proficient equipment suppliers from an automation perspective. · Responsible for acceptance of the Site Acceptance Tests of equipment upon commissioning completion. · Organize and take part in internal training and workshops. · Cost estimations for projects and change requests. Qualifications and Experience · Hands-on experience as an engineer with roll-to-roll processes, discrete assembly, coating/drying, laser cutting/welding, in-line test methods (DCIR, HiPot, leakage test). · Proficient in DOE/SPC/MSA, PFMEA, structured RCA methods. · Experience with Design For Manufacturing, applied in industrial scale high-volume production processes. · Familiar with Dry-room operations, chemical handling and ATEX/CE compliance. · Experience with MES/SCADA/PLC datasets and basic scripting/querying for data analysis is a plus. · Experience with mechanical design using 3D CAD is a plus.
