Physical AI, a real model of the world, is the next trillion dollar opportunity and a foundational pillar for energy, robotics and
superintelligence.
At Jua we are building it now. Our models already run on four continents and help power the energy buildout needed to support ever
larger intelligence.
We are assembling a world-class team of researchers and entrepreneurial minds to turn this model into reality at global scale. If
you want the opportunity of your life, come build physical AI with us.
We’re looking for an exceptional and ambitious Data Engineering Intern who’s eager to learn fast, take ownership, and contribute
to real production systems.
You’ll work together with our experienced data and AI engineers and support expanding and refining Jua’s data infrastructure,
focusing on data acquisition, validation, and integration using Dagster, Python, and modern cloud technologies. Your work will
directly accelerate our ability to onboard new datasets and improve model performance.
Internship duration: 3 months (extendable to 6 months)
Atmospheric or Earth Science
hours, and high standards are the norm
Please note: We prioritise your answers to the application questions over your CV, so we encourage you to complete them as
thoughtfully and thoroughly as possible.
At Jua, we foster a performance culture and value people who embody our beliefs of service and adventure. We prioritize agility,
operating at the highest clock speed to adapt quickly to change.
We innovate on behalf of our users and leverage data supremacy to maintain our competitive edge. Through clear communication and
fact-based decision-making, we ensure alignment in our pursuit of excellence.

value the unique perspectives that each individual brings to the table and believe that embracing diverse backgrounds and
experiences enriches our collective journey towards growth and success.
Join the Wingtra team and become part of this venture-backed robotics scaleup with a global and international team of 125+ dedicated Wingtranauts who want to see their actions have a positive and lasting impact on the world. Founded more than 8 years ago at ETH Zurich, Europe’s leading robotics university, our goal is to build the best aerial robots to digitize the world at the push of a button and set the basis for faster and better decisions. Wingtra provides efficient and reliable data solutions to a variety of industries ranging from mining, construction and agriculture to humanitarian organizations, environmentalists and wildlife monitoring groups. We are reaching for the stars and together we might just get there. Open communication, asking hard questions and valuing diverse viewpoints are but a few things that will help us achieve our goals. Above all we will never stop learning and striving to help each other reach our maximum potential. During your internship at Wingtra, you will be fully onboarded into a small, highly cross-functional team working closely with the CTO. The team explores new technologies, prototypes product ideas, and turns early technical concepts into working systems that can be tested on real drones, real hardware, and real customer-relevant workflows. See our Search and Rescue solution WingtraSAR.ai as one of the many projects we work on. This broad engineering role is for those who enjoy end-to-end building. Projects may involve firmware, drone hardware, electronics, mechanical prototyping, web tools, computer vision, machine learning, data analysis, or cloud applications. You do not need expertise in all areas; we prioritize curiosity, agency, engineering taste, and a proven ability to solve problems through building. The starting date is ASAP if possible (or up to September 2026), and the duration will be 6 months or longer.
RIVR, part of Amazon is a robotics company pioneering Physical AI through real-world doorstep delivery. Founded in 2024 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, RIVR, part of Amazon developed wheeled-legged robots designed to operate in complex, unstructured environments such as stairs, gates, doors, and uneven urban terrain. We believe that achieving general physical intelligence requires solving real customer problems in the real world, where robots can learn from rich operational data at scale. Following our acquisition by Amazon in March 2026, we are continuing this mission with greater reach and speed. By combining custom robot hardware, onboard autonomy, and cloud-based coordination, RIVR, part of Amazon is building the next generation of safe, reliable autonomous robots for last-mile delivery. Important Notice: For this position, we can unfortunately only accept applications from citizens of Schengen Area countries. This restriction does not apply to ETHZ and EPFL students who are required to complete compulsory internships as part of their studies.

During your internship at Wingtra, you will be fully onboarded into the highly cross-functional team that developed the WingtraRAY drone from the ground up. You will get the opportunity to solve real-world applied robotics problems in a hands-on approach across the full development cycle. Your solutions will be used by customers operating in challenging environments worldwide. Beyond the technical work, you will take part in the daily life of the team, including technical discussions, flight-test preparation, reviews, feedback sessions and team events. We want to support your growth in a professional engineering environment that goes beyond the purely technical domain. This role focuses on the drone platform software layer: system integration, embedded services, diagnostics, payload and component communication, validation and testing. It is distinct from our guidance, navigation and control internships, which focus on flight-control algorithm development. The earliest starting date is August/September and duration will be 5 to 6 months or longer - applications for later in the year cannot be given priority. Thank you for understanding.
