Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Genesys Cloud Developer / Technical Engineer to join our internal development team. In this role, you will contribute directly to the design, development, configuration, and continuous improvement of our future cloud-based Genesys platform and the ecosystem of connected systems within the Contact Centre domain. You will work closely with architects, developers, product owners, and operational teams to build scalable, secure, and modern customer interaction solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Participate as a core member of the internal development team, contributing to the evolution of our cloud-based Contact Centre platform. Perform hands-on development, configuration, and customization within Genesys Cloud, ensuring high-quality and maintainable solutions. Build, enhance, and maintain integrations between Genesys Cloud and various internal/external systems using APIs, microservices, and automation frameworks. Develop features and flows within Genesys Cloud Architect, including IVR logic, routing strategies, data actions, and event-driven workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, monitoring, and optimization of platform performance. Contribute to the modernization of legacy contact centre components and assist in cloud migration activities. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards across all development and configuration work. Troubleshoot complex issues across the Genesys Cloud environment and connected systems, providing root-cause analysis and long-term fixes. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions, bringing forward ideas and improvements. Must-Have Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, candidates must have: Several years of hands-on experience with Genesys Cloud, including development, configuration, and platform administration. Strong practical experience with Genesys Cloud Architect, API integrations, routing, IVR design, and data actions. Solid development experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java C# JavaScript Python Experience building and maintaining integrations using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven patterns. Ability to work in Agile teams and contribute to end-to-end development cycles. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical tasks. Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience The following skills are not mandatory but will be considered strong advantages: Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment. Knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native development practices. Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines and automation. Familiarity with WebLogic for legacy system integration or migration. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and cloud provisioning. Exposure to DevOps practices, Docker, OpenShift, Kafka, or other modern integration technologies. Understanding of Contact Centre modernization, cloud migration strategies, and scalable architecture patterns. What is needed in this role: Core Genesys Cloud Skills Genesys Cloud Architect: Designing inbound/outbound call, email, and message flows, including reusable tasks and secure flows. Data Actions & Integrations: Building and troubleshooting data actions that connect to RESTful Spring Boot services. Genesys SDKs & APIs: Experience with the Platform API, Notifications API (WebSockets), and Analytics API. Scripting: Creating dynamic Agent Scripts integrated with the Genesys Cloud Embeddable Framework. Web Messaging & Digital: Implementing Web Messaging (v3) with custom deployment and journey tracking. Outbound Campaigns: Configuring Predictive, Power, and Agentless dialing modes. Security (OAuth): Implementing secure authentication flows (Authorization Code, Client Credentials, PKCE). Minimum 3+ years of relevant education (Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or similar). At least 3+ years of experience in the IT industry, ideally within software development, integrations, or cloud-based platforms. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain intelligent, customer‑friendly IVR and routing flows. Collaborate closely with Java/Spring Boot teams on integrations and data models. Use CX as Code (Terraform provider for Genesys Cloud) to manage configuration across Dev, UAT, and Production environments. Analyze and optimize performance, including API rate limits and notifications. Support teams embedding Genesys widgets into our custom Angular agent desktop.
