What you will do Perform independent end-to-end validation of fraud detection ML models, including conceptual soundness, data integrity, feature engineering, model development, deployment design, and monitoring frameworks. Develop challenger models. Review and challenge first-line fraud model methodologies, assumptions, and implementation choices (e.g., scikit-learn, LightGBM, graph models, anonaly detection techniques, GenAI components). Build and deploy agentic AI tools to support model validation workflows — automating review of model documentation and code, surfacing risks and inconsistencies. Assess model performance using appropriate fraud metrics (e.g., precision/recall, ROC-AUC, PR-AUC, cost-sensitive metrics, fraud rate capture, business impact trade-offs). Evaluate model stability, drift detection, retraining strategies, and production monitoring practices. Independently replicate model results where necessary and conduct challenger analyses to assess model robustness and limitations. Review large-scale transaction datasets and feature pipelines (e.g., >100M transactions, hundreds of features) to assess data representativeness, leakage risks, and bias. Evaluate model governance documentation, explainability approaches, and transparency — including regulatory compliance related to model risk, fairness, and data privacy. Validate new technologies applied in fraud detection, such as Graph Networks, Behavioral Biometrics, Anomaly Detection, and GenAI-based systems. Assess controls around CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes (e.g., Docker, Jenkins), and cloud environments (e.g., AWS SageMaker, S3, Athena, Lambda). Develop and maintain validation frameworks, testing standards, and model performance monitoring tools (e.g., SQL, PySpark, Python-based validation libraries). Collaborate closely with first-line fraud data scientists, ML engineers, product, and business stakeholders to ensure transparent communication of model risks and validation findings. Provide actionable recommendations and formally document validation outcomes in line with internal model governance standards and external regulatory expectations. Stay up to date with evolving fraud typologies, emerging ML/AI techniques, and regulatory developments in model risk management. Who you are Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering. 3+ years of hands-on experience in fraud-related modeling (e.g., transaction fraud, account takeover, identity fraud, payments fraud etc). Strong expertise in machine learning methods used in fraud detection, including tree-based models (e.g., LightGBM), anomaly detection, graph/network models, and advanced ML techniques. Deep understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle — from conceptual design and feature engineering to production deployment and monitoring — with the ability to critically challenge each stage. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark/Spark and large-scale data processing. Experience building agentic AI workflows. Familiarity with cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Athena) and production deployment workflows. Strong knowledge of model validation principles, model risk governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations. Experience assessing model bias, fairness, explainability, and privacy risks. Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex models and clearly articulate risks and limitations. Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently while constructively challenging first-line teams in a collaborative manner. Awesome to have Experience in BNPL, credit cards, payments, or other transaction-heavy financial products. Experience validating models in highly regulated environments. Experience mentoring junior validators or leading validation reviews. Exposure to inference of rejected transactions and understanding of fraud/credit overlap. Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and emerging AI regulatory requirements.

We're hiring the second engineer on our ML/AI subteam to help build it classical ML for the business, LLM-powered systems for the product, and a clear production mindset on both. You'll sit inside the Data team, report to our Head of Data, and partner with one other ML/AI engineer to shape this capability from the ground up. Areas of ownership: You'll own work across two complementary tracks, and you'll ship in both. Classical ML, in production, for operational leverage Risk and fraud models across payments, top-ups, and account behaviour Churn prediction and retention modelling on a user base of a million-plus Forecasting, pricing, segmentation, and the next batch of operational problems we haven't tackled yet Owning models end-to-end scoping with stakeholders, building, deploying, monitoring, retraining LLMs and AI agents, from internal automation to in-product features Start with our customer support agents and automations: RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, tool-use, evaluation harnesses Move LLM capability into the product as user-facing features Help guide the company on where AI actually creates leverage, what to build, what to buy, what to ignore and turn the good ideas into shipped systems Requirements: You are an excellent communicator and collaborator. We work in English, but you will hear many languages in our Stockholm office 4+ years of hands-on ML engineering in Python, with real production ownership not just notebooks Strong fundamentals in classical ML: feature engineering, model selection, validation, and the unglamorous parts of keeping a model healthy in prod A genuine production mindset: monitoring, retraining, eval harnesses, CI/CD for models, and the instinct to debug when something drifts at 2am Comfort working the whole loop: stakeholder scoping → data → model → deployment → measurement → iteration Strong written and spoken English, and the ability to translate between business problems and ML ones Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks — LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalents Built RAG systems, agentic workflows, or LLM-backed products that real users (or real internal teams) actually used Comfortable with vector databases, embeddings, prompt evaluation, and measuring LLM systems with something more rigorous than vibes Obsession with staying up-to-date on developments in the AI space Experience with a major cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure), containers, and a modern data stack Experience in MLOps tooling: MLflow, Airflow, Kubernetes and feature stores is a plus Background in fintech, payments, telecom, or other regulated / operational domains is a plus Why Rebtel? TLDR; You'll own the identity layer that powers every Lovable app — from auth flows and session management to RBAC, API keys, and multi-tenancy isolation. This is a high-trust, high-impact role at the intersection of security, product, and platform engineering, shaping how millions of end users authenticate into AI-generated applications. About Lovable & the Apps Platform Lovable is an AI-powered software creation platform. Millions of users use Lovable to go from idea to working application, generating hundreds of thousands of apps every day. The Lovable Apps Platform is what makes those generated apps actually run in production. The moment a user hits deploy, the Apps Platform takes over — provisioning the database, handling user auth, storing files, serving the app over a custom domain, capturing logs, and metering usage. It's the full backend and hosting layer for every app built on Lovable, designed so creators never have to think about infrastructure to ship something real. The Apps Platform is growing fast, and we're investing heavily in each layer of the stack — building deeper ownership over the services that power our users' apps so we can move faster, scale better, and shape the product experience us and our users actually want. THE ROLE We're looking for a senior identity and access specialist to own authentication, authorization, and user management across the Lovable Apps Platform. You'll build the identity layer that both Lovable's own platform and every user-generated app depend on — from auth flows and session management to RBAC, API keys, and multi-tenancy isolation. Identity is the front door to every Lovable app. As we move from a bundled auth stack to our own composable identity layer, we need someone who can build a system that's both developer-friendly and security-hardened. You'll shape how millions of end users authenticate into AI-generated applications — and how Lovable's own platform manages access, secrets, and trust. This is a high-trust, high-impact role at the intersection of security, product, and platform engineering. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design and build the Apps Platform's identity and access management system, covering both platform-level auth (Lovable users) and app-level auth (end users of Lovable-generated apps) * Implement authentication flows: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, magic links, social login providers, MFA, and session management * Build a robust authorization model: RBAC, row-level security, API key management, and fine-grained permissions * Own multi-tenancy isolation — ensuring that user apps, data, and credentials are securely separated * Manage secrets infrastructure: secure storage, rotation, and access control for database credentials, API keys, and service tokens * Migrate identity services from the current bundled setup to a fully owned, composable identity layer without breaking user sessions * Operate auth as a production service: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and capacity planning for a system on the critical path of every request * Collaborate with the AI and product teams to ensure that generated apps get secure-by-default auth without requiring user expertise WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Deep expertise in identity and access management: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, session management, and token lifecycle * Experience building or operating auth systems at scale — ideally in a multi-tenant SaaS or PaaS context * Strong security mindset: you treat credential leakage, privilege escalation, token theft, and tenant isolation as first-class concerns * Experience with RBAC/ABAC models and row-level security in Postgres * Familiarity with identity providers and auth services (Auth0, Supabase Auth, Clerk, Firebase Auth, Keycloak, etc.) * Comfortable with TypeScript across backend services and API layers * You've migrated auth systems or transitioned between identity providers in production without breaking user sessions * Operational instincts: you think in uptime, latency percentiles, and blast radius — auth outages take down everything downstream * You’re based in Stockholm or ready to relocate - this is an on-site, 5-days-a-week role. NICE TO HAVE * Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or similar) * Background in compliance-relevant auth work (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) * Familiarity with Supabase Auth internals (GoTrue) or similar open-source auth servers * Experience designing auth for AI-generated or low-code applications * Familiarity with managed cloud services (AWS, GCP) and the tradeoffs of buy-vs-build for identity infrastructure Our tech stack We're building with tools that both humans and AI love. Lovable software engineers are capable of working across the whole stack. Examples of tech in our stack include: * Frontend: React and Typescript. * Backend: Golang and Rust. * Cloud: Cloudflare, GCP, AWS. * Data: Clickhouse, Firestore, Spanner, BigQuery. * DevOps & Tooling: CI/CD pipelines, OTEL, Kubernetes, Terraform. And always on the lookout for what's next! About your application * Please submit your application in English - it’s our company language so you’ll be speaking lots of it if you join * We treat all candidates equally - if you’re interested please apply through our careers portal

TL;DR: Lovable lets over 2 million people build software using plain language, and the models behind it need to be exceptional. We're hiring an engineer who has gotten their hands dirty with post-training at scale and wants to do it again for one of the fastest-growing AI products in the world. You'll own our full post-training pipeline: translating the latest research into production training recipes, adapting them for code generation and agent workloads, and putting improved models in front of users fast. The goal is to get promising research into production within days or weeks, not months. This isn't an academic research position - you'll spend as much time in production infrastructure as in training configs, and your success is measured by what ships. Why Lovable? Lovable lets anyone and everyone build software with any language. From solopreneurs to Fortune 100 teams, millions of people use Lovable to transform raw ideas into real products - fast. We are at the forefront of a foundational shift in software creation, which means you have an unprecedented opportunity to change the way the digital world works. Over 2 million people in 200+ countries already use Lovable to launch businesses, automate work, and bring their ideas to life. And we’re just getting started. We’re a small, talent-dense team building a generation-defining company from Stockholm. We value extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We seek out people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world. What we’re looking for * You've personally run post-training jobs on large language models - RFT/RLVR, preference optimization, or similar. Not just called APIs or written prompts, but actually trained and iterated on models * You can write solid production code. The systems you build need to run reliably, not just produce interesting research artifacts * You're fluent in at least one major ML framework (PyTorch, JAX) and comfortable working with distributed training setups and GPU clusters * You understand the math behind preference optimization, reward modeling, and alignment techniques - and can reason about when each approach fits * You've built or significantly contributed to evaluation systems that capture real-world quality, not just benchmark scores * You can trace a model quality regression from user-facing symptoms back through serving, inference, and training - and you enjoy doing it * You want to ship. Research taste matters, but at Lovable the question is always "how fast can we get this to users?" Preferred: * You've worked on code generation or agentic use cases specifically * You've put post-trained models into the hands of real users and seen how they hold up at scale * You've owned the full loop: curating data, running training, evaluating results, deploying, and monitoring in production * You have a habit of reading a paper on Monday and having a prototype running by Friday * You've experimented with speculative decoding or similar techniques to improve model efficiency * You have strong views on evaluation methodology and have built evals that actually predict user satisfaction * You've published or contributed meaningfully to the open-source ML ecosystem What you’ll do * Own the full lifecycle of Lovable's post-training pipeline - from data curation and training runs through evaluation and deployment * Apply and adapt reinforcement learning, preference optimization, and supervised fine-tuning methods to make our models better at generating code, reasoning about user intent, and acting as reliable agents * Build the evaluation and experimentation infrastructure that tells us whether a model change actually helps users - covering helpfulness, safety, latency, and reliability * Develop and operate the production systems that run training jobs at scale, including GPU orchestration and data pipelines * Work across team boundaries with our agent, product, and infrastructure engineers to turn model gains into product improvements users can feel * Investigate and resolve failures end-to-end - whether the root cause is in a training recipe, a data issue, or a serving regression * Read papers, run experiments, and move fast: the goal is to get promising research into production within days or weeks, not months About your application Please submit your application in English. It’s our company language, so you’ll be speaking lots of it if you join. We treat all candidates equally - if you’re interested, please apply through our careers portal.
