Speciallärare (språk eller matematik) - vi söker dig! Distra Gymnasium är en mindre gymnasieskola i Örnsberg. Nu söker vi en speciallärare. Alla inriktningar är välkomna att söka - vi kommer dock först titta på dig som är specialiserad på matematik eller språk. Du som söker kommer ha stort ansvar över skolans studio - vår specialpedagogiska verksamhet där 1-8 elever deltar. Där stöttar du elever i skolarbetet och samordnar insatser mellan undervisande lärare och det särskilda stödet. Du förväntas att ta en aktiv roll i pedagogiska utredningar och samordna delar av det administrativa arbetet som sker inom elevhälsans ramar. Hos oss är fokus på trivsel och trygghet där alla skall känna sig sedda och kunna komma till tals. Vi har små undervisningsgrupper med ca 15-24 elever per grupp. Detta ger oss större möjligheter att kunna hjälpa varje elev att kunna nå sina mål. Du bör vara nyfiken och vilja möta elever där de befinner sig i sin utveckling samt vilja skapa förutsättningar för varje elev att lyckas. Du bör vara van att samarbeta med och ta plats i skolans elevhälsoteam. Där utgör du en viktig kompetens och pusselbit och samarbetar med skolans kurator, socialpedagog, specialpedagog, rektorer och SYV. I en yrkesinriktad utbildning har de flesta av våra elever sökt utifrån ett yrke och häri ligger din utmaning: att våga utmana och stötta eleverna i de teoretiska ämnena. PhD Position in Ruminant Nutrition and Sustainable Dairy Production Subject area: Animal Science Project description Forage-based feeds are central to Swedish dairy production, and their protein content and degradability can influence nitrogen utilization, feed intake, and milk yield. The aim of this PhD project is to investigate nutritional strategies to improve nitrogen use efficiency in dairy cows. The project will include feeding trials with dairy cows as well as analyses of feed, milk, and other biological samples to quantify nitrogen flows and evaluate how diet composition affects nitrogen utilization. Duties The PhD student will participate in all stages of the research process. Duties include planning and conducting feeding trials with dairy cows, sampling and analysis of biological materials, processing and statistical analysis of experimental data, and publishing and presenting research results in scientific journals and at conferences. The successful candidate will also participate in doctoral courses and contribute to departmental activities. Work outside regular office hours may occur. Eligibility Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, or a related field. Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school English B/English 6. Qualifications We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in sustainable livestock production and research in ruminant nutrition, environmental impacts, and production systems. The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Requirements Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Valid Category B driving licence. Meritorious qualifications Interest in, and preferably experience working with cattle. Documented experience in data collection, processing, and management of data from animal feeding trials. Experience with wet chemistry methods for feed analysis. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to research. Applicants are requested to attach their Master’s thesis to the application. References from previous academic supervisors, for example from BSc or MSc thesis projects, are highly desirable. The Speech and Language Pathology unit of the Health and Rehabilitation department has the major task of being responsible for a four-year undergraduate Speech and Language Pathology programme. The unit also gives courses on the graduate level and engages in research in the subject of Speech and Language Pathology. The unit consists of about fifteen lecturers and researchers and six doctoral students. All of these are engaged in instruction in the Speech and Language Pathology programme and may serve as supervisors for projects on the graduate and doctoral level. Subject area Speech and Language Pathology Subject area description Speech and Language Pathology is defined as the study of language, voice, and speech disorders, as well as swallowing disorders, and their treatment. Speech and Language Pathology as a subject area describes and explains various forms of communication difficulties resulting from language, voice, and speech disorders, how they should be evaluated and treated, as well as their effects on an individual's personality, health and quality of life. Teaching and research included in this position are to focus on developmental speech and language disorders, and thereby supplement and reinforce existing resources at the Speech and Language Pathology unit. Duties Work-related duties primarily involve responsibility for teaching on the undergraduate and graduate levels in the area of developmental speech and language disorders. This can be in the form of the degree programme for Speech and Language Pathology, as well as in freestanding courses. In addition, duties include serving as a supervisor on the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in the subject area. The position also includes serving as course coordinator, engaging in course planning, performing administrative tasks and keeping up with developments in the field. The position also involves conducting research in the subject area of the position, as well as seeking research funding from outside sources. Management/leadership responsibilities may be included. Eligibility The eligibility criteria for employing teaching staff are set out in Chapter 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the Appointment Procedure for Teaching Posts at the University of Gothenburg. Eligibility requirements include a doctoral degree, demonstrated pedagogical skills, and a Swedish Speech and Language Pathology licence. Ability to teach in Swedish and English is also a requirement. Experience in course coordination, course planning, and pedagogical development work is considered particularly meritorious. In the assessment of scientific competence, particular emphasis is placed on the level of independently conducted research on developmental speech and language disorders. Competence is evaluated based on the quality of the applicant’s publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as national and international research funding obtained in competition. Experience in supervision at the doctoral level is considered a merit. In the assessment of clinical competence, emphasis is placed on clinical experience within the field of developmental speech and language disorders. Administrative proficiency in education and the ability to collaborate and engage in cooperation with particular emphasis placed on documented experience in the overall planning of courses, clinical placements, examinations, and course evaluations within Speech Pathology programmes. Prior experience in leadership assignments is likewise considered a merit, for example, serving as a member of a council or committee.
