In this role you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of facility, utility and fire protection systems supporting production and office environments. Ensures buildings, utilities and life safety systems are maintained in compliance with Swedish regulations, company standards and sustainability objectives. This is a hands-on position where you will take ownership of building a complete automated testing ecosystem, from defining strategy and selecting tools to implementing frameworks and writing test code. You will work across the full stack, covering frontend, backend, and system-level validation. Your work will include automated UI testing, backend and API verification, and system-level testing supported by simulations and realistic environments. A key part of the role is shaping how testing is done, defining what to test, how to test it, and how to ensure quality end-to-end across the product. You will collaborate closely with developers and system engineers to build testable, scalable solutions, while integrating continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines. Beyond implementation, you will also help identify gaps in test coverage, improve processes, and contribute to a strong quality culture within the team. What You Bring We believe you have solid experience working with test automation in production environments and are comfortable writing code as part of your daily work, whether in TypeScript, C#, Python, or a similar language. You have hands-on experience with modern frontend testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, as well as experience testing backend services and APIs. You understand how automated testing fits into CI/CD workflows and are familiar with tools such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms. Just as importantly, you have the ability to think strategically about testing in complex, distributed systems and enjoy taking ownership of quality from a holistic perspective. Experience with safety-critical or industrial systems is a plus, as is familiarity with simulators, virtual devices, or hardware-in-the-loop testing. Knowledge of performance or load testing and a broader full-stack understanding will also be valuable in this role. Our Tech Stack You will be working in an environment that includes TypeScript and Vue.js on the frontend, and C#/.NET with ASP.NET on the backend. We are responsible for the services that keep millions of connected devices online, upgradeable, and traceable — from the moment a device is manufactured until it is returned or decommissioned. As Manager for Platform Communication & Utilities at Verisure Innovation, you will lead two teams: a software engineering team (Platform Utilities & Upgrades) and a specialist IoT connectivity team — approximately 15 employees in total. The engineering team builds and operates a portfolio of internal platform services covering device lifecycle management (factory provisioning, firmware upgrades, SIM management), internal operator and support tooling, and the data backbone connecting our hardware supply chain to our software platform. Several of these services run with 24/7 SLA requirements. The IoT Connectivity team manages Verisure's relationships with IoT network and connectivity providers, working across technical, commercial, and operational dimensions to secure quality and cost efficiency in our global device fleet. You'll design and own the semantic layer that makes Bravida's operational and financial data trustworthy, consistent, and accessible for reports today and generative BI tomorrow. AI isn't a side interest here; it's central to how we expect this role to operate and where we're taking our analytics capability.
