Multiply is building a strong pool of senior automation professionals for current and upcoming assignments within advanced manufacturing, robotics, automotive, energy, process industry, Life Sciences and industrial digitalisation. Your role Depending on your background, you may: Lead automation activities from design to commissioning and production support Develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA and DCS systems Take technical ownership of machines, production lines, process equipment or robot cells Troubleshoot production-critical systems and lead root-cause analysis Modernise existing automation platforms Coordinate suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams Support machine safety, functional safety and OT/IT integration Plan and coordinate automation work packages, milestones, risks, dependencies and technical deliverables Support customer communication, progress reporting and technical decision-making You may work in both project and production environments. You will work close to customers, internal engineering teams, and production, translating customer requirements into robust and compliant design solutions. While you do not have formal personnel responsibility, you will lead the electrical scope in your projects and coordinate others in the delivery. As our production is located in Landskrona, the role is primarily on‑site, with some flexibility for remote work. How you’ll make an impact Take technical ownership of electrical and automation scope in assigned projects, ensuring delivery according to time, budget, and quality requirements. Verify that the electrical design is in accordance with customer specifications, including component selection and solution review. Design automation cabinets, low‑voltage motor control centres (MCC), and junction boxes (typical voltages: 208/400/480/690 VAC and 24–220 VDC). Create and work according to quality documentation such as process maps, work instructions, functional descriptions, and guidelines. Prepare technical specifications for suppliers and manage articles and Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP. Support factory testing, FAT, supplier evaluations, and commissioning activities (SAT), including occasional travel. Provide after‑sales technical support through troubleshooting and solution development when needed. Your background Solid experience in electrical design and automation within relevant industries such as machine manufacturing, process industry, or water and treatment plants. Post‑secondary technical education or equivalent professional experience as an electrical designer, project engineer, lead engineer, or similar role. Proven ability to independently design automation cabinets and motor control systems or other low voltage cabinets using Elprocad or similar electrical CAD tools. Experience working with redundant and high‑availability solutions (e.g. S2, R1, R2 concepts). Good knowledge of applicable standards and regulations such as the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), IEC 61439, IEC 61000‑6‑2 / IEC 61000‑6‑4, and CE certification. Strong proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken; Swedish language skills are considered a strong advantage. The person will act as the on site (Luleå) technical liaison between the Cold Mill/Annealing operations and the R&D organization and laboratories located in Borlänge and Hämeenlinna. Their main responsibility is to ensure that annealing process requirements are clearly defined, validated, and integrated into both production and product development workflows. Hands-on experience not only practical in annealing operations within a steel production environment with specific background on continuous annealing and galvanizing of cold rolled steels. Leading the annealing questions within the cold mill complex and providing technical expertise. Running relevant technical questions/projects together with other relevant specialist groups to generate bases for decision making. Your Qualifications To thrive in this role, you bring: Higher academic degree, preferably in Steel Processes (M.Sc.) At least 10 years of experience in steel production, with a focus on annealing or thermal processing.
