Within Engineering Platform, we are now building an internal agentic platform for our engineering organisation. We are looking for a Sr. Product Engineer to help build it. We are now taking the next step: building a platform where agents can take on meaningful parts of the software development lifecycle. The users are our own engineers. The work involves questions around how agents interact with our development environments, tools and systems. Which tasks should be delegated to agents? What information do they need? How do we know that an agent actually did a good job? Where do we need human judgment? Much of this is still being figured out. We want to test ideas, put useful solutions in the hands of engineers and learn from how they work in practice. WHAT YOU WILL DO You will work in a small team building the Agentic Platform from exploration through production. You will: * Build features and workflows used by engineers across TV4 * Work directly with developers to understand problems and test solutions * Build integrations with repositories, development environments and internal systems * Prototype when the solution is unclear and take useful ideas into production * Take responsibility for your work in production, including reliability, observability and failure modes * Contribute to both technical and product decisions This is a hands-on engineering role. Depending on the problem, you may work on an API, an integration, a developer interface, infrastructure or an agent workflow. ABOUT YOU You are an experienced software engineer with a broad technical foundation. You have built and operated software in production and are comfortable taking responsibility beyond implementation. We are looking for someone who wants to build this as a product, not just as tooling. You treat APIs, workflows and developer interfaces as products, care about the engineers using them, and can turn recurring problems into capabilities that work across teams. You should also be comfortable working in an area where many answers are still unknown. We are looking for: * Broad software engineering experience across more than one part of the stack * Experience with system design, APIs and modern cloud environments * Strong engineering judgment and the ability to make technical trade-offs * Experience taking problems from exploration to production * An interest in developer experience and internal platforms * Experience integrating coding agents into how you work today * Experimentation with areas such as agentic workflows, context engineering, MCP, tool use, evaluation, observability or automation * The ability to explain technical reasoning clearly and work across team boundaries Deep expertise in a particular language or framework is not important. You also do not need years of experience building AI infrastructure. The field is moving too quickly for that to be a particularly useful requirement. They make mistakes, need the right context and interact with systems that have real permissions and production consequences. We are interested in where agents genuinely improve engineering work, not in adding them everywhere because we can. ABOUT YOU You are an experienced platform or infrastructure engineer who has built and operated production environments at scale. You understand cloud infrastructure deeply enough to know where abstraction helps and where it gets in the way. You are comfortable working below the abstraction when needed, but also interested in creating platforms that make good engineering practices easier for other teams. The area includes our streaming infrastructure, frontend video players, core content catalogue and platform engineering. These systems are closely connected. Challenges often span multiple services, teams and technical domains, and solving them requires an understanding of how the pieces fit together. You will report to the Area Lead for Core, but your work will not be limited to one team. You will operate across organisational boundaries, working with engineers and technical leaders wherever your experience can make the greatest difference. The mandate is broad: identify gaps, challenge existing assumptions and help create a coherent technical direction across Core and, when needed, beyond it. At TV4, our engineers build and operate the technology behind TV4 Play and MTV Katsomo, used by millions of people every week. Engineering Platform builds the shared foundation that our engineering teams use to build, ship and operate software. Our users are not primarily viewers. They are the roughly 100 engineers across TV4 who depend on us to make good engineering easier. We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead teams in Engineering Platform at a time when both the platform and the way software is built are changing. WHAT WE ARE BUILDING Engineering Platform is currently organised around two areas: * Cloud Infrastructure and Internal Developer Platform. Our cloud platform is built around AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code. We are moving more shared capabilities into the platform, with clearer abstractions and self-service, without taking ownership away from the teams running the software. * Agentic Platform. AI-assisted development is already part of everyday engineering at TV4. We are now building an internal platform where agents can take on meaningful parts of the software development lifecycle: how they interact with our repositories, tools and systems, what context they need, how we evaluate their work and where human judgement is required. Both areas are built as products. We work closely with the engineers who use them, decide what belongs in the platform and build capabilities that work across teams. The structure is still taking shape. Part of this role is helping decide how it should evolve. WHAT YOU WILL DO You will lead one or more teams within Engineering Platform. You will: * Build, coach and develop engineering teams, including senior engineers * Create clear direction, priorities and conditions for the teams to succeed * Work with engineering teams across TV4 to understand where the platform creates friction, and decide what to build next * Balance exploration with reliability, especially where agents interact with systems that have real permissions and production consequences * Act as a technical sparring partner in architecture and platform decisions * Help shape how Engineering Platform is organised as the area develops You will report to the Competence Lead for Engineering and work closely with the Area Lead for Core.
