As Technical Services Manager (TSM) reporting to our Senior Technical Service Manager (STSM), you will work closely with our
SLAs
maintenance activities, both planned and reactive, on a nominated site.
Your Day to Day
Either a portion of the data centre site or a portfolio of customers will be allocated to each Technical Service Manager (TSM).
The TSM then runs this sub-section of the site, reporting and raising issues/tasks to the STSM as required;
incident management procedures are followed; coordinate activities as required with customers

This post-sale, customer-facing, front-line role requires efficiency in deployment, management of third-party installations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience and continued support. What You’ll Do * Lead and coordinate Fleet installations, ensuring efficiency and a positive customer experience. * Keep 3rd party installers and Axon customers updated on installation status through daily reports and stand-up meetings. * Ensure regular and reliable attendance, demonstrating commitment to work responsibilities. * Deploy hardware and software solutions in a dynamic environment with minimal assistance. * Exhibit flexibility to undertake additional projects and adapt to evolving priorities. * Provide guidance to customers on optimal hardware placement, tailoring solutions to enhance workflows and ensure compliant data collection. * Develop accurate installation diagrams and thorough documentation for implemented solutions. * Provide administrative support for vendor setup, clearances, tracking, and maintenance of work orders * Engage with key technology decision-makers post-sale. * Conduct training sessions for both technical and non-technical staff on the use of Axon Fleet and Interview solutions. * Train customer technical and non-technical staff and 12V low-voltage sub-contractors on proper installation and use of Axon hardware and software components. What You’ll Bring Technical Acumen: * Strong experience with IP networking and connected devices, including configuration and troubleshooting across Layer 2, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments. * Ability to quickly identify and resolve network connectivity issues involving routers, modems, gateways, access points, and edge devices. * Solid understanding of core networking principles, including switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and physical layer infrastructure. * Experience with remote and mobile networking technologies, such as Cradlepoint or similar solutions, is highly valued. * Familiarity with data communications, WAN access methods, wireless technologies, and local network infrastructure in distributed or field-based environments. * Strong troubleshooting skills across network-connected hardware and communications systems. * Exposure to low-voltage / 12V electrical systems is an asset, including basic wiring, DC circuit fundamentals, relays, fuses, and power distribution. * Familiarity with vehicle electrical or communication systems such as CAN bus, LIN bus, auxiliary battery systems, lighting, or siren integrations is considered a nice to have. * Ability to read wiring diagrams and support equipment installation or fault isolation is beneficial. Other Qualifications: * Experience with law enforcement agencies is highly valued. * Ability to work safely and skilfully with hand tools. * Proven team leadership skills, supporting customers and third parties to achieve objectives. * Previous experience in leading a team or contractors on multiple projects with successful outcomes. * Exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work both within a team and independently. * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Desire to work with a team or visit clients in person weekly. Role: Technical Services Specialist - Broadcast Technology Location: NewYork Department: Customer Solutions and Services Reports to: Director, Technical Services (based in LA) ABOUT THE ROLE This person will be a specialist for delivering Disguise projects across our Broadcast and XR customers. The Technical Services Specialist (Broadcast) will work across various platforms, primarily LED stages and mixed reality technologies, helping us achieve our clients' creative vision through our technical acumen. The Technical Services Specialist will primarily support the ESPN HQ in Bristol, CT, and the 7 Hudson Studio in NYC. This position requires an in-depth, hands-on understanding of various disguise workflows, including xR, VP, DMX, and RenderStream. This person will collaborate alongside Disguise’s solutions designers, creative services, project managers, engineers, third-party vendors, and most importantly, the customer - ensuring projects are implemented successfully; on time, to scope, within budget, and exceeding their expectations. The Technical Services Specialist will be experienced at collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones. The Technical Services Specialist will need to be based in NYC but will also be required to travel in response to global project demand. Both domestic and international travel is required (roughly once a month), and sometimes at short notice, where you will be onsite at the client for roughly 1-2 weeks per project This person will play a pivotal role at Disguise as the gateway between our technology, the customer, and their audience's visual experience. What you will do: * ESPN Support * Bi-annual maintenance: You will collaborate with ESPN’s technical team to update and test the system. This involves updating the disguise system to the latest OS, D3 designer build, IPVFC firmware, and the newest version of the Renderstream plugin. * License Updates & General Support Duties: You will assist the ESPN team with the RenderStream license update process and provide ongoing system-related support. This includes conducting system health checks, offering workflow guidance, delivering bespoke training, and providing last-minute firefighting support when critical issues arise. * While your primary focus will be supporting ESPN and other NYC-based clients, you will also have the opportunity to work on diverse projects across virtual production, immersive experiences, and fixed installations. If you do not have direct experience in these secondary industries, Disguise will provide the necessary training to get you up to speed. EXPERIENCE: * Broadcast Engineering Expertise: 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining complex broadcast technical systems and control interfaces. This includes hardware, software, and key third-party platforms (e.g., Ross, Grass Valley, Sony). * Live Production Background: Proven experience working inside high-pressure Sports, Live Events, and News broadcasting environments. * Technical Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting technical gear essential to broadcast production, including professional cameras, production switchers, and robust networking infrastructure. * Client-Facing Deployment: Comfortable traveling to and working directly on-site at client facilities, serving as the face of the technical team. * Modern Video Standards: Strong working knowledge of IP video standards, specifically SMPTE ST 2110. * Industry Trend Aware: A keen interest in and up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements across the Broadcast, xR, and Virtual Production landscapes.
