JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Test Framework Software Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain robust test automation solutions that drive hardware quality and reliability across our AI hardware platforms. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, translating hardware specifications into test solutions, and enabling efficient validation across development and production environments. THE TEAM You will work closely with hardware, systems, and product engineering teams to ensure high-quality validation of complex AI systems. The team operates across hardware platforms, system validation, and production test environments. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Design, implement, and extend test automation frameworks for hardware qualification and validation. - Translate hardware specifications into scalable, maintainable automated test suites. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage meets product and quality requirements. - Debug and troubleshoot issues in automation frameworks across environments and platforms. - Develop tooling to process, analyze, and visualize test data for actionable insights. - Optimize test execution efficiency and improve validation methodologies. - Communicate technical status, risks, and insights to engineering stakeholders. CANDIDATE PROFILE Essential: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Extensive experience (10–15+ years) in automation systems, test frameworks, or infrastructure. - Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages. - Experience with Linux/Unix environments and hardware testing frameworks. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in cross-functional teams. - Experience building scalable, maintainable, and reliable automation systems. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable: - Experience with test orchestration systems or automation infrastructure. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git). - Background in AI hardware, embedded systems, or BMC environments. - Experience integrating automated testing into manufacturing or deployment systems. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Diagnostics Engineer to design and develop diagnostics software used to monitor hardware health and diagnose system-level issues across Graphcore’s AI infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on building diagnostics agents, tools, and analytics frameworks that enable engineers and automation systems to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware issues across blade-level servers and rack-scale clusters. The Team Graphcore is a globally recognised leader in Artificial Intelligence computing systems. The company designs advanced semiconductors and data centre hardware that provide the specialised processing power needed to drive AI innovation, while delivering the efficiency required to support its broader adoption. The Systems Engineering and Platform Validation team ensures Graphcore’s AI compute platforms are reliable, diagnosable, and operationally robust at scale. The team collaborates with hardware engineering, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and automation teams to develop tools and frameworks that monitor system health, detect hardware failures, and accelerate root-cause analysis across AI clusters. Responsibilities and Duties * Design and develop automated hardware diagnostics solutions for blade-level servers and rack-scale AI systems. * Architect and implement diagnostic agents, monitoring tools, and analytics frameworks to track hardware telemetry. * Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate low-level diagnostic modules into monitoring systems. * Develop diagnostics tools capable of detecting hardware health conditions and isolating failures. * Create diagnostic modules used for internal validation and production data center operations. * Provide detailed hardware fault information to system engineers to accelerate troubleshooting. * Define remediation workflows and insights for hardware fault scenarios across nodes and clusters. * Collaborate with firmware, networking, and cloud platform teams to integrate diagnostics across the system stack. Candidate Profile Essential * Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. * Strong software engineering experience in Python, C++, or C#. * Experience developing diagnostics or monitoring systems for hardware platforms. * Experience working with distributed systems or cloud infrastructure. * Strong knowledge of Linux environments and system-level diagnostics tools. * Experience collaborating with CM/ODM partners on manufacturing diagnostics and fault isolation. * Strong analytical and debugging skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. We want you as a talented Flight Software Engineer to help us in our mission by developing and testing critical software responsible for the operation of our lunar lander projects. You will be part of the Future Projects team, reporting to the Principal Engineer of the project and working closely with the other engineering disciplines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In your capacity as a Future Projects Flight Software Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include: * Taking ownership of the software architecture, components, and interfaces * Owning the requirements for the software sub-system * Being responsible for implementation of the Flight software modules (Sub-system) * Being responsible for writing clean unit tests * Collaborating with other teams (e.g. Avionics, GNC, Propulsion) to ensure seamless integration of the software into the test framework * Being responsible for integrated tests (with Hardware and Simulated) * Actively participating in system-level tests and provide support for troubleshooting and resolving integration issues WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE FROM YOU * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. * 3+ years of experience in developing software architectures for aerospace or similar complex systems. * Proven experience in real-time distributed system design, implementation, and debugging, with a focus on timing constraints, synchronization, and deterministic behavior in safety-critical applications. * Strong background in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink. * Familiarity with hardware in the loop (HIL) and software in the loop (SIL) testing methodologies. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. * Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. * Experience with NASA cFS is considered advantageous. * Understanding of Communication protocols such as: TCP/IP, UART, CAN Bus and serialization. * Familiarity with debuggers (GDB, LLDB).
