infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API, a self-service customer operations portal, and a clear
regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months.
As part of the dwpbank group, we’re adding a layer of resources and expertise to benefit from, while continuing to operate as an

By empowering FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products, we help create financial well-being for their customers. lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform: simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. Our API-first infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API, a self-service customer operations portal, and a clear regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months. As part of the dwpbank group, we’re adding a layer of resources and expertise to benefit from, while continuing to operate as an independent fintech with our own team, product, and start-up identity under the dwpbank umbrella. YOUR MISSION: As a Founder’s Associate, you will work closely with the Founder and CEO and leadership team to help drive the company’s strategic priorities and operational execution. In this role, you will take ownership of high-impact, cross-functional projects across the business. These may range from supporting strategic initiatives in commercial, product, and operations teams to improving internal processes, building organisational structures, and helping ensure alignment as the company scales. This role is ideal for someone who is excited by our mission of enabling anyone to invest in capital markets. You will be close to many strategic initiatives and interact beyond lemon.markets towards our parent company, dwpbank. You will get the best of both worlds: the opportunity to work closely with experienced experts across functions while taking on meaningful ownership in a dynamic and ambitious environment. This is going to be the ride of a lifetime for someone, who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and wants to gain first-hand experience in how a high-growth fintech infrastructure company is built. YOU WILL: * Support the Founder and CEO on strategic and operational projects that drive company goals and priorities. * Own and lead projects with a deep focus on brokerage, custody and capital markets, this is where you will spend a significant part of your time and where domain knowledge is essential. * Analyse market developments, competitor dynamics, and trends across the European brokerage, wealth, and investment infrastructure landscape. * Take ownership of special projects that support the next stage of lemon.markets’ growth. * Lead and mentor the Founder’s Associate Intern team, providing structure, guidance, and prioritisation across projects while helping develop their skills and ensuring high-quality execution. * Contribute to refining and scaling internal processes, documentation, and operating structures across the company, especially in light of what becomes possible with AI. * Help develop, structure, and execute cross-functional initiatives across teams. * Act as a connector across the organisation by understanding team priorities, spotting gaps and blockers early, and helping drive effective cross-functional collaboration. YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU: * You have a background (bachelor and master degree) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer science or a similar area. * You are an entrepreneurial problem solver. You strive to take ownership of the tasks you get and apply your analytical skills, structured thinking, and independent working style towards solving them. * You have gained 2 years or more of hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you have worked in an early-stage startup, fintech, consulting, tech company or similar. * You bring experience from the world of brokerage, trading or custody and/or are deeply excited to get into the engine room details of our mission to make anyone an investor. * You cope well with frequent change and ambiguity. Changing tasks & requirements excite you. You are able to think logically, break down complex problems and prioritise between multiple tasks on your table. * You are a team player. Working together as a team and sharing knowledge comes naturally to you. * You never let anything fall down your plate. Being on top of things is what you are known for. Having no hesitation to follow up on people until the job gets done. * You are ready and willing to take ownership. “This is not my job!” is not part of your vocabulary - you identify problems, take initiative to take them on, and challenge the status quo. HOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOU: * 🚀 Compensation package: We offer you a competitive salary, based on your experience and the value-add you bring to lemon.markets. * 🕑 Flexible working hours: We trust people to choose when they work best and avoid a rigid 9 to 5 mindset. You decide on the rhythm that helps you do your best work, with only shared core hours from 12:00 to 16:00 to support collaboration. * 🏢 Hybrid work setup: You can work from anywhere in Germany within a hybrid model. At the same time, in-person collaboration is a key part of our culture. That being said, individual contributer lemoneers work 4 days or more in our Berlin office, spending quality time together with the team at events, onsites/offsites or over team dinners. * 📈 Grow with us: We take your personal development seriously! You’ll get regular mentorship and stretch opportunities, a clear career development framework with frequent feedback conversations as well as an annual learning budget. * 🌱 People & culture: You’ll feel our culture in the small things, like polaroids from our lemoneers’ first day, Friday food market strolls at Maybachufer, and our monthly new-joiner breakfast. But also in the bigger things: celebrating the onboarding of new partners, growing our teams, and owning a strong discussion culture. * 💛 Perks & benefits: We choose benefits that add actual value. We sponsor a Deutschlandticket for employees on unlimited contracts, plus 50% off on Beatvest - our partner for financial education and investing. * 🏝 Workation: Get out of here! At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total. As an equal opportunity employer, lemon.markets is committed to building an inclusive workplace. The Position Hive is scaling to become Europe’s default operating system for commerce, and our Growth engine is at the heart of that ambition. We’re looking for an exceptional Founder Associate / Strategy Associate to our Chief Growth Officer to sit at the nerve center of that engine for 6 months, own problems that would normally land on a McKinsey Engagement Manager’s desk, and actually ship the answers. This is a zero-to-one internship. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our CGO on the highest-leverage questions Hive is facing: market entries, pricing architecture, GTM motion redesigns, and the board-level narratives behind them. You won’t fetch coffee. You’ll build the models, drive the analyses, and present the recommendations that shape where Hive goes next. If you’re the person who excelled at a top program, cracked the McKinsey case-prep circuit, and now wants 4-6 months of real operator exposure before you take the BCG/McKinsey/Bain offer, or before you start the venture you’ve already been sketching out, this role was built for you. Your Mission You’ll be the CGO’s force multiplier. Every week, you’ll turn an ambiguous, high-stakes strategic question into a crisp, defensible answer, and then help make it happen. Your Responsibilities * Own CGO-level strategic projects end-to-end: from framing the problem, to structuring the analysis, to landing the recommendation with the leadership team * Build the models: unit economics, pricing simulations, cohort analyses, market sizings, and business cases for new market entries and product bets * Run deep-dive analyses across our commercial funnel: pipeline health, segment performance, sales productivity, churn drivers, and turn findings into concrete interventions * Prepare board, investor, and all-hands materials with the CGO, the kind of decks that get pressure-tested in front of Tiger Global, Earlybird, and Picus Capital * Design and run strategic experiments with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Partnerships, and measure what actually moved the needle * Synthesize competitive and market intelligence into decisions: how Hive positions against Shopify, Amazon, 3PLs, and category entrants across Europe * Act as chief of staff to the CGO: driving the weekly operating rhythm, prioritizing the inbox and calendar, and ensuring nothing important drops Your Profile * A distinctive academic track record: Dean’s List, scholarships, or thesis awards are strong signals * Consulting-track pedigree: you’ve prepped seriously for McKinsey, BCG, or Bain interviews. You think in MECE, you’re analytically ruthless in Excel, and you can structure a slide in your sleep * Prior exposure at the highest bar: internships at MBB, top VC-backed scaleups (Trade Republic, N26, Revolut, Flix, Sennder), PE, or IB. Founder or founding-team experience is a huge plus * Analytically ruthless, commercially sharp: you can go from a messy Metabase export to a board-ready insight in an afternoon. SQL or Python is a strong plus * Operator instincts, not just analyst instincts: you don’t stop at the recommendation; you drive execution and carry things across the finish line * Exceptional written and verbal English (C1+); German is a strong plus given our large DACH footprint * High agency, low ego: you move fast, you ask the blunt question in the room, and you’d rather be useful than look good politically * Available for 4-6 months starting ASAP: Pflichtpraktikum, gap semester, or pre-MBA window all work Our Offering * Proximity to the decision table: you’ll sit in every meeting that matters, strategy, board prep, exec offsites, investor updates. Most people don’t get this exposure until their late 20s * A resume line you can’t buy: Founder / Strategy Associate to the CGO of one of DACH’s top-scaling scaleups * A guaranteed conversion path: top performers get a full-time offer into Strategy, BizOps, Chief of Staff, or a GTM leadership track, with a clear 2-year path to running a function * Work with exceptional people: our team includes alumni from McKinsey, Amazon, Shopify, Google, TikTok, and Trade Republic * Real autonomy from day one: your impact drives your progression, not your past titles * Tools to thrive: MacBook, Claude Pro & Lovable Business Plan, modern office at Alexanderplatz, 30 vacation days prorated, flexible hours, and regular team events including company-wide offsites * A front-row seat to the €200B operations opportunity in European commerce About us We're revolutionizing e-commerce operations. At Hive, we empower brands to excel in the digital commerce era through our innovative operations platform. By combining cutting-edge technology with a curated network of top-tier operations partners, we deliver measurable results.
