As a Head of Sales (DACH), you will play a crucial role in leading our commercial strategy and revenue growth across German
speaking markets. Your role will be to drive regional revenue growth across both new logo acquisitions and our existing customer
portfolio.
By establishing new accounts and ensuring a world-class customer experience, you will directly strengthen Epidemic Sound’s
position as the undisputed market leader in the DACH region. You will lead a high-performing, cross-functional regional team
consisting of a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Account Executives (AEs), and Customer Success Managers (CSMs). In this
position, you will report to the VP of Enterprise Europe & APAC, collaborating closely with international leadership colleagues
and internal stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction and localize our market impact.

YOUR MISSION We're looking for a commercially curious, AI-enthusiastic intern to join our Trading team and take real ownership of client relationships across the DACH region. You'll work directly alongside our Head of Sales and our Steel Trader, getting hands-on exposure to live steel deals from day one. This is not a shadow programme. From the start, you'll be managing real accounts, coordinating active deals, and gradually taking end-to-end deal ownership as your skills grow. For the right person, this is a direct path to a permanent Account Manager role. As the Team Lead for Business Development based in Berlin, you will hold a dual mandate: Coach the talent and Engineer the GTM strategy. You will lead the team responsible for the DACH, CEE, and Nordics regions, markets that require distinct strategies and precision. We are moving beyond standard "SDR" motions. We need a leader who can analyze signal patterns, partner with RevOps to automate workflows, and provide our Heads of Sales with predictive insights on which verticals will trend next. What you’ll do * Lead & Develop (The People): Recruit, hire, and coach a high-performing team of 9 Business Development Representatives (BDRs). You won’t just track KPIs; you will dissect calls, refine commercial judgment, and help BDRs "create their own path" toward closing roles. * GTM Architecture (The Engine): Act as the "GTM Engineer" for your region. Work with RevOps to optimize lead routing, data enrichment, and dashboarding. If the process is broken, you don't just report it: you fix it. * Strategic Forecasting: Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product Marketing to tailor our go-to-market strategy per vertical. You will identify future trending sectors in DACH/CEE/Nordics before they hit the mainstream news. * Data-Driven Experimentation: Embed a culture of A/B testing. Use data to refine messaging and targeting. You will be the bridge between the qualitative feedback of the BDRs and the quantitative rigor of our systems. * Cross-Border Collaboration: Champion the "Global License to Operate." Ensure your team collaborates effectively with Industry Leads, Head of Sales and Country Managers, adhering to our rules of engagement and Salesforce hygiene is non-negotiable. Who you are * You have 3+ years in Sales/Business Development, with at least 1+ year leading a team or driving complex GTM projects. * You are comfortable with the "Ops" side of sales. You understand that Salesforce is the source of truth and know how to leverage tools to uncover bottlenecks. * You drive performance through empathy and radical candor ("Talk straight without being rude"). You build teams that win together. * You can look at a list of 100 accounts and explain why we should prioritize the top 10 based on market signals, not just guesswork. * You are fluent in English and German. YOUR MISSION We are a Berlin-based startup transforming how industrial materials are bought and sold across Europe. One of the oldest industries in the world still runs on Excel, PDF and email. We are replacing that with AI that runs the buying and selling workflow end to end, increasing liquidity, speeding up transactions and reducing waste for hundreds of steel and metal distributors. We have strong early traction, real enterprise customers and committed investors. We are a lean, technical team scaling our enterprise pilots and building the AI infrastructure underneath them. Your job is to open doors and win conversations. You partner closely with Co-founder Simon, who owns sales. You will spend real time on the phone with German steel traders and distributors, and you will build the systems and tools that make every call sharper. This is a hands-on role with four pillars, and the first one is where you will make your mark. 1. REACH OUT AND CLOSE Own our outbound: call and message decision-makers at steel traders and stockholders across the DACH region, in German, every day. Get past the gatekeeper, open the conversation, and book qualified meetings for the team. Track follow-ups so no warm lead ever goes cold, and prepare the pre-call briefs that make each conversation land. 2. BUILD THE PIPELINE Build and verify our target lists: the right companies, mapped to the right person (Head of Sales, branch manager, MD). Keep our CRM (Attio) clean and trustworthy so the whole team can rely on it. 3. EXTEND OUR AI OUTBOUND ENGINE Improve the internal AI tooling that powers our outreach: research, enrichment and message drafting. Wire in new data sources and automate the manual steps that slow you down. You will use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude) to ship, not just specify. 4. HELP BUILD THE BRAND Help shape how our software business shows up in the world: our brand, our messaging, and our presence on social media. Bring ideas for how we look and sound, help grow our audience across the channels that matter, and keep everything consistent as the product grows. YOUR PROFILE You are genuinely comfortable picking up the phone, and you like finding smarter ways to work. The one non-negotiable: you can sell in German. Everything else you can grow into here. * Excellent written and verbal communication in German (C1 or C2 must have, native not required) and solid English. You can run an outbound call with a German industrial customer end to end, and you are not thrown by a cold conversation. * Enrolled student or recent graduate. We care about how you think and what you have built, not your years of experience. * Comfortable with software, and keen to use AI tools like Cursor or Claude to work smarter. If you can build or automate things yourself, even better, though you do not need to be an engineer. * Resourceful and thick-skinned. You take initiative instead of waiting to be told, and a "no" does not slow you down. * Organized, and genuinely bothered by messy data. * Nice to have: your own outreach or sales experience; a side project you have shipped; a portfolio, brand, or content you have built (a site, a social account, a newsletter); Python, React, or GTM tools like Clay, Apollo or HubSpot.
