Om tjänsten

About the role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer – Space at APR Technologies you will own the system architecture, technical baseline and verification strategy for thermal-management products for spacecraft, platforms, instruments and payloads. You will lead technical decisions and multidisciplinary integration from approved customer requirements through qualification and flight readiness.

Key responsibilities

Develop product architectures for thermal products for spacecraft, satellite platforms, instruments or payload, ensuring optimal performance for the specific mission conditions.

Own the system architecture, requirements allocation, bidirectional traceability and controlled technical baseline.

Define and approve mechanical, thermal, fluidic, electrical and control interfaces.

Lead trade studies, technical budgets and design decisions across performance, mass, power, reliability and risk.

Define the verification and qualification strategy, including ICDs, DDVPs, VCDs and design justifications.

Chair technical reviews and lead integration, anomaly resolution, change-impact assessment and delta qualification.

Provide technical direction to design, analysis, test, Product Assurance and supplier teams.

Who you are

You bring a systems perspective to your work and keep a disciplined eye on requirements and interfaces. You are decisive and analytical, and you can explain technical trade-offs clearly to engineers and non-engineers alike. You are pragmatic, work well with colleagues across disciplines, and are comfortable taking technical ownership. You are comfortable in a fast-moving, technical environment where priorities can shift and decisions get made quickly.

Required qualifications:

BSc or MSc in aerospace, systems, mechanical, electrical engineering, engineering physics or equivalent.

At least five years of systems-engineering experience in complex hardware, including direct involvement in a space project.

Experience of hands-on ownership of system architecture, requirements, interfaces and verification planning.

Working knowledge of relevant ECSS standards.

Fluency in professional English and strong technical documentation skills.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience of thermal control, pumped loops, fluid or pressure systems, electronics or spacecraft equipment.

Familiarity with spacecraft thermal control and two-phase heat transport.

Experience with environmental qualification and testing of flight hardware, including thermal-vacuum, vibration, EMC and/or radiation testing.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing (MAIT) of space hardware.

Working at APR Technologies:

APR operates at the intersection of physics, engineering and one of the most pressing problems in technology: thermal management. The ambition is to become the global industry standard for thermal control, and we are well on our way.

Here your work is visible, your perspective counts and what you do has a real impact on where the company goes. Working here means solving problems that have real consequences for how technology develops and how much energy it consumes. It means being part of a team that takes both the technology and the business seriously.
