About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Embedded Test Architect – Software Platform to lead and drive quality assurance initiatives for embedded software platforms. This role requires a recognized technical expert with extensive experience in embedded systems testing, test architecture, automation frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining testing strategies, mentoring engineering teams, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and contributing to the development of robust and scalable software platforms. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and mentor test engineers and development teams, fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. * Define, design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for embedded software platforms. * Drive verification and validation activities for embedded software and hardware systems. * Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and functional safety regulations. * Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies to improve test efficiency and coverage. * Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects and testing challenges. * Collaborate closely with software developers, system architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives. * Lead system-level testing activities and integrate deliverables across multiple teams. * Support release readiness assessments and quality gate reviews. * Contribute to technical roadmaps and influence testing strategies across the wider organization. * Act as a subject matter expert, driving best practices and innovation in embedded software testing and verification. Requirements: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field. * 12+ years of experience in embedded software development, testing, verification, or system engineering. * Strong expertise in embedded software testing methodologies, test architecture, and verification strategies. * Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automated testing tools. * Solid understanding of embedded hardware-software interaction. * Experience working with safety-critical or highly regulated systems. * Strong defect management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills. * Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. * Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives. Now we are searching for the next star!: Main Tasks And Responsibilities * Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and deployment * Design, code, develop, test and debug C++ / C software * Review code and design * Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources * Integrate and validate new product designs * Provide post-production support to fix bugs and improve features * Work with Product Owners / Scrum Masters to estimate and prioritize requirement backlog Desired Skills And Experience * B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electric / Electronic / Computer Engineering or equivalent * Several years (3-5) proven working experience in C/C++ * Swedish citizenship * Swedish & English speaking high level * Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets * Experience in system design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems * Deep knowledge of OS coding technique, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems * Linux Kernel driver development experience is an added value * Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and datasheets for components * Useful to have: Defence or radiosystems experience * Strong documentation and writing competence * Proficient communication and presentation skills * Talent to build positive relationships both internally and externally * Capacity to integrate easily in a dynamic international business environment * Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and problem solve in stressful situations What We Offer: * A fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a focus on technology. * Opportunities for professional growth and career development. * Competitive compensation and benefits package. * The chance to be part of a team shaping the products of the future. * A supportive and inclusive corporate culture that values creativity and innovation.
