Om tjänsten

HMS stands for Hardware Meets Software and we work to make the world more connected, productive, and sustainable. Our industrial communication products enable millions of machines, such as robots, drives, and air-conditioning systems, to connect with software and information systems – a necessity for meeting future demands for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Want to work with hardware products used worldwide and help ensure they remain reliable, manufacturable, and competitive throughout their lifecycle? If you enjoy combining technical problem-solving with real product impact, this could be your next step.

What you'll do

Do you enjoy working hands-on with electronics and finding ways to make products better? As a Product Engineer at HMS Networks, you'll play an important role in keeping our hardware products reliable, cost-efficient, and competitive throughout their lifecycle.

You'll work with real engineering challenges, from finding solutions when components become obsolete to improving product design, manufacturability, and performance. Working closely with colleagues across engineering, production, quality, and sourcing, you'll turn technical challenges into practical improvements that make a lasting difference to our products.

Join our Hardware team within the Industrial Network Technology (INT) Division in Halmstad and contribute to products used around the world in industrial communication and automation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing component lifecycle challenges, including obsolete components and second sourcing.

Driving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in product updates and improvements.

Leading cost-reduction initiatives and identifying technical improvements.

Troubleshooting hardware issues and supporting root cause analysis.

Evaluating component changes and their impact on product performance and manufacturability.

Supporting production test specifications and manufacturing readiness.

Maintaining technical documentation.

You'll use Jira for project and issue tracking and work with electronics design tools such as Altium Designer and OrCAD.
