Om tjänsten

Do you want to shape the decisions that steer critical infrastructure serving communities across Europe and beyond? Are you the

person executives turn to when a strategic choice needs to be translated into numbers, and the numbers translated back into a

clear recommendation? Then you may be the senior finance professional we are looking for in Group Financial Planning & Analysis

(FP&A). Be part of the movement, help shape our company and set the strategic direction forward.

About the team and your role

Group FP&A drives DFDS’ short- and long-term planning cycles, working closely with key senior stakeholders to ensure plans are

aligned and executed upon. Further, the team is responsible for analyzing, tracking and challenging the performance of DFDS’

business units against our strategic ambitions. By highlighting performance gaps, improvement opportunities and the actions needed

to close them, we provide the financial foundation for decisions at the highest level of the company.

In your role, you will be a senior expert in FP&A, linking strategy, forecasts and decisions. You will steer the financial models

and decision material that the Executive Management Team (EMT) and the Board of Directors rely on, and you will make sure that our

forecasts reflect the strategic choices we make and show their implications. As a senior expert you will lead through expertise,

ownership and influence: setting the standard for how we model, analyze and present, driving cross-functional work streams, and

acting as a sparring partner to senior leaders across Group and business units.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Strategic financial modelling: build, own and continuously develop the Group’s financial models and scenario planning,

connecting strategic ambitions, business-unit plans and capital allocation into a coherent, decision-ready framework

  • EMT and Board decision material: prepare and own decision material for the Executive Management Team and Board of Directors,

including strategic options, investment cases, scenario analyses and long-term plans, with clear recommendations and trade-offs

  • Financial planning and forecasts: together with the team, drive the Group’s global planning and forecasting processes, ensuring

that plans are tied to strategic choices and give leadership clear visibility of how decisions impact future performance

  • Project management: lead complex, cross-functional analyses and projects end to end, challenge assumptions constructively at

senior level, and raise the analytical standard across Finance by connecting with experts across the BUs

Strategic sparring: act as a trusted partner to Group and BU management on major investments, M&A, and strategic initiatives
  • Ad hoc analysis: proactively analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and offer actionable

insights

The FP&A team is at the heart of cross-functional analysis and decision-making at DFDS, and we continuously strive to improve our

business and financial processes. You will work with all levels of the organization and are expected to build strong networks and

drive collaboration, ensuring the right experts are involved.

The position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.

About you

You are an experienced finance professional who combines deep financial expertise with strong commercial judgement, and you can

turn complexity into a clear storyline that senior decision-makers can act on.

We expect that you have:

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience from a position within FP&A, strategic finance, Group performance management, or finance and strategy

consulting

  • A proven track record of preparing and presenting decision material to Executive Management and/or Board of Directors and the

ability to make complex trade-offs easy to understand for decision makers

  • Expert-level financial modelling skills, including short- and long-term planning, scenario modelling, and investment and

valuation analysis

Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority: driving projects, aligning stakeholders and influencing senior leaders
An analytical mindset and a self-starter attitude, being able to seize opportunities and proactively demonstrate initiative

As a person, you are curious, collaborative and rigorous, and you naturally challenge the status quo, including at the top of the

organization. You take ownership and set high standards for yourself and others. You will continuously be involved in several

different projects/tasks and engaged with many different stakeholders; thus, it is important that you can handle different

priorities simultaneously while keeping an eye on details and delivering on time.

Working at DFDS

Join the movement and grow with us.

You will join a dedicated team at the centre of the company’s strategic agenda, with direct exposure to the EMT and Board and real

influence on DFDS’ direction. We offer an exciting and attractive career in an international and dynamic environment with

continuous professional and personal development.

We strive to continuously develop our people, thus enabling them to take on increased responsibilities. We do this by investing in

growing our employees through close sparring, providing developing tasks and a high degree of responsibility. At DFDS you will

have the opportunity to shape how finance supports strategic decision-making across the Group through cross-functional

collaboration and great teamwork.

A great place to work: We promote a great workplace with a diverse and vibrant community. Our newly built headquarters in

Copenhagen is a unique, modern workplace just 5 minutes from the nearest train & metro station.
